#SRHvsCSK: Will Hyderabad Be Able Stop The Chennai Wave?

With two defeats and a single win in their account, the Sunrisers Hyderabad will now bank on their new-found self-belief when they take on the mighty Chennai Super Kings in the IPL encounter.

With two defeats and a single win in their account, the Sunrisers Hyderabad will now bank on their new-found self-belief when they take on the mighty Chennai Super Kings in the IPL encounter.

Shikhar Dhawan’s Sunrisers started off the IPL 7 season on a disappointing note, losing to Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab in their first two games but finally managed to get a win under their belts against the faltering Delhi Daredevils. Hyderabad had to rely on their overseas Aussie stars – Aaron Finch (88) and David Warner (58), both of whom had a 128-run stand for the second wicket and posted a massive total of 184 on board.

With the duo in full flow, the Oz powerhouse will be expected to repeat those heroics again the mighty CSK. The one worry that will hurt Hyderabad is the form of their skipper Shikhar Dhawan who has not hit the purple patch yet. The southpaw, who had struggled on the international front, is also not amongst the runs with his franchise. The likes of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Dale Steyn and Ishant Sharma have to bring their international experience into play against the formidable batting of the Super Kings.

Going by the CSK’s form, Dhoni’s men will definitely start as favourites. On the batting front, they look solid as steel with Brendon McCullum hitting form at the right time, a belligerent 71 against the Mumbai Indians recently. Also Dwayne Smith, Suresh Raina, Faf du Plessis and MS Dhoni are in crackling form for the CSK.

It’s going to be a battle of bowlers versus batsmen and whoever wins, will have the last laugh.
