This season of the Indian Premier League promises a pool of talented of superstars in the fray. With a host of international superstars lined-up, we pick some of the noted stars that may take centre stage in the seventh season of the Indian Premier League.

AB de Villiers (Royal Challengers Bangalore)
South Africa’s ‘Mr. Dependable‘, AB de Villiers is one of the key players in the Royal Challengers Bangalore. De Villiers has an array of attacking shots and even the world’s fastest bowler, Dale Steyn has to bear the heat of his fellow Protea when it comes to the T20 cricket. Can AB de Villiers end the trophy drought for RCB? Remains a challenge this season.

MS Dhoni (Chennai Super Kings)
The Indian skipper (in all formats), MS Dhoni is a central cog in the CSK artillery. Even though he missed on the T20 World Cup in Bangladesh recently, ‘Mahi’ can still make up by winning yet another IPL Title to his name (3).

Virat Kohli (Royal Challengers Bangalore)
A Champion batsman in the making – Virat Kohli has truly reformed the art of batting in today’s cricketing world. His performance on the field especially with the bat has critics going ‘ga-ga’ over him. The Delhi-born who has been handed over the reins of captaincy by the RCB owners, will have to be at his superlative best, if the Mallya-owned team has to land the IPL Title.

Kevin Pietersen (Delhi Daredevils)
After being axed by the England Cricket Board (ECB) in the wake of a disastrous Ashes series in Australia, international cricket was all but over for the attacking batsman. But the South African-born star decided to play in the T20 leagues and now will captain the Delhi Daredevils in the IPL. Pietersen still remains one of the biggest names in international cricket and could be one of the ‘gamechangers’ for the lucrative league.

Chris Gayle (Royal Challengers Bangalore)
What’s T20 without Chris Gayle? The southpaw has been a sensation for the IPL as well as his own team over the years with his blundering sixes and fours. He ‘may or may not’ do the famous ‘Gangnam style dance’ but one thing is for sure – Chris Gayle will keep hitting those huge sixes and keep us entertaining!

The IPL 7 may not have spurned on the excitement yet amongst the fans but with these stars in the foray, the lucrative league promises to be one action packed, Indian-style T20 cricket!
