India vs. West Indies: 3rd ODI preview

With the number 1 ranked team going as favourites, we take a look at some of the key factors that MS Dhoni should look upon:

With the series leveled at 1-1, India and West Indies go into the 3rd ODI seeking to gain advantage and most importantly, a win. With the number 1 ranked team going as favourites, we take a look at some of the key factors that MS Dhoni should look upon:

Play Suresh Raina at 5
More than Suresh Raina, the burden of scoring the runs seems to have fallen on southpaw, Yuvraj Singh. With the duo selected for the South Africa tour, the news might boost psychologically and also make them spend some time on the pitch. Give Yuvraj the number 4 slot and rest assured, RUNS will come!

Attack Darren Sammy:
The West Indies all-rounder slammed an unbeaten 63 in the last game and will be raring to go again. Dhoni must use his bowlers wisely and go on the attack to defuse the Sammy onslaught.

Toss will be crucial
The pitch in Kanpur will assist the bowlers but as the day progresses, will favour the batsmen as well. This might as well sound that MS Dhoni needs to win the toss, badly!

Favourite ground?
A stat reveals that India have lost only three out of 11 ODIs played in Kanpur. They lost to West Indies in 1994. Will this be a happy hunting ground for Mahi and his men?
