Sachin Tendulkar is going to mentor the likes of Unmukt Chand and Parveez Rasool for a campaign. Since Indian Team is in a tough phase, certain players require a mentor like Sachin. These are the players who should Sachin be mentoring for:

Rohit Sharma

Apart from the Indian conditions, Mumbai-born Rohit Sharma is feeling the heat overseas. Bad performance with the bat on the South African pitches was least that he wanted but that did not stop there as the poor form has followed him to the shores of New Zealand. If SRT is to mentor Rohit, it should be working on batting skills. The front foot does not move and the Master Blaster will be the best to turn his fortunes around.

Suresh Raina

‘The Lucky One’ – Suresh Raina has not been amongst the runs yet. With the selectors opting for Raina over Yuvraj Singh, the former has failed to live up to the expectations. Raina has a bundle of talent with him but fails on the big stage. Sachin Tendulkar who has shouldered the burden of millions of Indian people can give a word or two to the southpaw who is dire straits of runs.

Ishant Sharma

Even being the second most ‘experienced’ player on tour, Ishant Sharma still has nonsensical traits in him. Rash bowling and inept lines caused them the 1st ODI against New Zealand in Napier. Sachin’s kind words can prove a boon the lanky bowler’s cricketing career and who knows, he might start to bowl the right lengths!

MS Dhoni

The skipper has not been having a good day at the office of late. The South African tour would be back of his mind but after the 1st ODI loss to hands of the Kiwis, MS Dhoni must be still pondering his playing eleven. Known to keep his cool, MS Dhoni knows patience with these young blokes can deliver the goods. Tendulkar himself kept composure when it mattered the most and with ‘Mahi’ running out of ideas, it would be in his best interests if he contacted SRT for comfort.

Duncan Fletcher

The South African-born coach is not having the best of times as being the Indian cricket team coach. After suffering series of losses in South Africa, it seems Duncan Fletcher’s philosophies is falling short in New Zealand after their 1st ODI defeat. May be Fletcher does not have anyone to consult too? Perhaps, if he may, Sachin Tendulkar is the right man to go for. Both have worked with each other in the past and surely know how to manage strategies and this may help the Indian coach to get atleast a ‘smile’ back on his face.

Yuvraj Singh

Every cricketer has to go through a lean patch and Yuvraj Singh is one of them. After missing the plane to New Zealand, good news arrived when he was included in the 30-man list of T20 World Cup to Bangladesh. Yuvi has a strong bonding with Sachin Tendulkar and with the former’s faltering batting form in the news, may be some encouraging tips from Sachin can boost the southpaw going into the T20 World Cup.

Zaheer Khan

Indian pace attack bowler, Zaheer Khan made a comeback to the Indian team in South Africa but was unable to generate the wins that could have saved India the blushes. Coming back from injury and bad form is not a piece of cake and ‘Zak’ has really worked on himself to make into the Indian team. If Zaheer had to ask for help, Sachin Tendulkar should be his top priority since both have been teammates and also, the latter knows how it takes to build a career after a slant form.
