5 Reasons Why Team India Collapsed In England!

Hosts England took firm control of the fifth and final Test at The Oval on the first day by swiping out India for mere 148 runs in the first innings.

Moreover, the English openers Alistair Cook and Sam Robson piled on more misery as they put on a rampant 62 runs at the end of day one.

Besides skipper’s MS Dhoni’s gutsy innings of 82, none of the Indian batsmen were able to bat a proper ball as the top put up another s(h)ame old story.

What’s the root cause of this ‘evil’ within the Indian team? Where has that Lord’s magic disappeared? Well, here are the reasons why Team India has collapsed and you won’t be shocked:

1 – Too much of cricket all around
Playing the Indian Premier League can be demanding especially under the hot and humid conditions of India. The Indian team straight away went to England after the IPL and most of them, might not even had a holiday! Who knows, playing too much might just have worn out those hands and legs in the Indian camp!

2 – Do NOT want to learn more
The Indian top order especially the likes of Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara have been dismissed for repeating the same mistakes in the Test series so far. The batting techniques, staying at the crease etc are one of the many flaws that have hampered their success against England. Thus, this goes to show that our Indian batsmen don’t want to learn from their mistakes and rather spend time relaxing in the sauna!

3 – Dhoni is tired of the winning mentality
After winning major events and series’ the world over, Indian skipper MS Dhoni must be feeling a bit ‘tired’ of it now. Too much of winning everywhere might have taken its toll on MS Dhoni and it seems, he wants to reverse the roles now.

4 – Tiff between the BCCI and MSD
Who knows, there could be a major ‘battle’ behind the scenes between the skipper and the Board of Selectors. Disagreements aplenty between the two might be one of the leading causes of this defective display in England.

5 – Dhoni’s ‘rearranged’ plans
So what could be the reason behind MS Dhoni’s poor wicket-keeping skills? Himself, who else because the former doesn’t want to WIN the series at all! Has he ‘fixed’ this series, who knows!

The Indian team is facing yet another crushing series defeat and too, three in a row. Calls for Dhoni’s head will be on the agenda but for now, this series’ collapse is all down to that one call from ‘Bhai’!
