Tata Bolt Preview: A Better Version of The Tata Indica Vista Car

Named after the eminent sports personality Usain Bolt, it signifies speed, and is definitely one of the most awaited hatchbacks of this year.

Design & Built:

Based on the X1 platform and similar to the flagship Tata model – the Indica Vista, the Tata Bolt is an improved version of the Vista, donning a classier look. With the number plate affixed at the tailgate and a rear fog lamp at the bumper, this car boasts of a dynamic façade, stylish headlights, & a striking grille. The two prominent lines on the side, as well as the rear, and a blacked out C pillar, give it an effect resembling a ‘floating roof’. 

With impressive interiors and a seating space for five, the car flaunts a three-spoke steering wheel, a new dashboard, contemporary gear knobs on the door release handles, and comprehensive air-vents.

With a length of 3825 mm, width of 1695 mm, & height of 1550 mm, the car weighs 1505 kg and possesses a 2470 mm wheelbase.

Features:

With splendid leather seat covers, and a range of accessories, including a music system, navigation system, parking sensors, climate control & in-built HVAC control, the automobile giant has equipped the car with superior Bluetooth technology, a trip computer, power windows & mirrors, USB & aux-in, and a SD card reader.

Exuding lots of style, the car comes with an anti-lock braking system, 5-inch touch screen with audio & video playback, speed sensitive power steering, Electronic Power Assisted System (EPAS), ventilated disc type front brakes, and drum type rear brakes. With ‘Active Return’ function, 15-inch chic alloy wheels, strong suspension system, dual path independent McPherson Strut System front axle and a 3-link McPherson Strut Suspension System rear axle, this car promises to grab the immediate attention of prospective buyers.

Engine & Mileage:

The car would come with two engine options – a 1.3-litre Quadrajet diesel engine and a new 1.2-litre 140bhp Revotron petrol engine. The Quadrajet diesel motor in the Vista is already delivering a maximum mileage of 22.3 Kmpl. The mileage of the Revotron petrol engine, though kept under wraps, may deliver 17 to 19 Kmpl.

Price Range:

With an expected price range of 4.20 Lakhs to 6.60 Lakhs, the Tata Bolt is all set to give tough competition to Hyundai Grand i10, Maruti Suzuki Swift, and the likes.
