She’s one of the most effervescent heroines we know and it’s her b’day today. We wish Juhi Chawla a rocking day and continue being hardcore fans of her genial nature and warm smile. She will very soon be seen playing the antagonist in Gulaab Gang, and Juhi in a negative role is so hard to imagine. She just doesn’t have the face and the attitude to step into the wicked shoes of a person with bad intentions. But she’s an actor par excellence and we are sure she will pull it off with great dexterity, just the way she has done in the past, with her previous roles.
Here are the reasons we simply can’t imagine the actor in a negative role…
Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak: She got off with a flying start playing this sweet and simple chick opposite Aamir Khan. She had such a gentle voice and a kind disposition in the film – who thought she will be all set to try a negative role after so many years.
Darr: This casual, girl next door gal won hearts with her infectious smile and gorgeous style. Can’t forget her energetic dance number in the rain; she was the quintessential Yash Chopra heroine in this one. Juhi brought a great amount of passion on screen. She represented romance and love, just can’t associate her with anything evil.
Ishq: Her comic timing was spot on and she gave us the uncontrollable giggles every time she mouthed those funny ‘Aamir Khan bashing’ dialogues. She pranced and danced like no one’s watching…still can’t picture this carefree lady as someone’s detractor.
Jhankaar Beats: She played Sanjay Suri’s middle class wife in this movie and she played it with so much ease and perfection. Chawla looked real and effortless, trying to deal with the responsibilities of running a family. Can visualise her as someone sweet, not wicked, not yet!
