What’s surprising is that very rarely do you see Khan bhai taking so much pains to plug his films. He is usually quite laidback about such ‘yelling from the rooftops about your next venture’ kind of a thing. But looks like things are changing at an astonishingly fast and furious pace. Salman Khan is out there, doing in your face promotions, resorting to social networking generously – he is wielding his marketing tools with great dexterity.
Until now it was just Shahrukh Khan who was the inarguable marketing guru of the industry. King Khan is known for his over-the-top antics, who transforms into this rah-rah kind of a guy when his movie is about to hit the theatre screens. From selling toys modelled on his RA.one look to going overboard with mouthing romantic dialogues over the brief appearances he makes on TV shows, King Khan does it all.
Sallu seems to be taking the same ‘aggressive selling’ route. Of course, he’s utilising the platform of Bigg Boss 7 to the fullest. Every now and then you will see him mention Jai Ho on the show. The actor also recently started a fun campaign on Twitter. He asked his fans to create a poster of Jai Ho and initiated a contest of sorts, and wrote that the best creation will be selected as the final poster of the film. Sallu of course did the honours of uploading the best poster which says people’s man, on the microbogging site.
