Hottest newcomers – Almost every day, a bunch of young men and women arrive in Mumbai to try their luck in the Hindi film industry.
Only a handful of them get the opportunity to showcase their talent in front of the world and realise their dreams. In 2018 too, several promising newcomers are set to enter Bollywood.

- Jhanvi Kapoor
Sridevi is one of the most successful actresses that have ever been in India. Her daughter Jahnvi, who has already made headlines for her fashion sense, is set to make her debut with ‘Dhadak’, the Hindi remake of the Marathi blockbuster ‘Sairat’. ‘Sairat’ was a much loved film and one loss forward to see whether the Hindi remake manages to replicate the magic of the original.
- Ishaan Khattar
Ishaan Khattar is actors Rajesh Khattar and Neelima Azim’s son and Shahid Kapoor’s half-brother. Like Jahnvi, Ishaan, too, makes his debut in ‘Dhadak’ and portrays the character that was played by Akash Thosar in the original. Ishaan has already finished shooting for Iranian filmmaker Majid Majidi’s film ‘Beyond The Clouds’ but ‘Dhadak’ will be his first release as anactor.

Saif Ali Khan’s pretty daughter, who lost oodles of weight and trained for a long time to face the cameras will be making her debut in director Abhishek Kapoor’s ‘Kedarnath’which is set to release later this year. The film is an inter-faith romance set againstthe backdrop of the Uttarakhand floods that erupted in 2013.

Radhika Madan has been one of the most popular faces on television ever since her show ‘Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi’ came on air. Ishaani, the character played her, made her a household name. The actress, who has been on a break from television for a while, will soon be seen in ‘Mard Ko Dard Nahin Hota’, a film produced by Ronnie Screwvala and directed by Vasan Bala.

While Sunny Deol continues to play leading roles in films, his son Karan Deol is ready to showcase his acting skills to the audience. The young Deol will be making his debut in ‘Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas’, a film being produced and directed by Deol. Not much is kmown about the film barring the fact that it will be a romantic musical set in the Northern hills of India.

The late actor Vinod Mehra is remembered for his strong and sensitive portrayals in films like ‘Ghar’, ‘Jaani Dushman’ and ‘Nagin’ among others. The actor’s son Rohan will be introduced to the audience in ‘Baazaar’, produced by Nikkhil Advani’s Emmay Entertainment and directed by Gauravv K.Chawla.

After working some of the biggest young actresses in India today like Alia Bhatt and Jacqueline Fernandez in the recent past, Varun Dhawan will be seen opposite Banita Sandhu in director Shoojit Sircar’s ‘October’. Banita hails from the UK and has been modellong in India for a while now.
- Abhimanyu Dassani
Remember Bhagyashree, Salman Khan’s heroine from ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’? The actress disappeared from the silver screen for a long time and resurfaced on television years later. Bhagyashree’s son Abhimanyu will be making his acting debut with ‘Mard Ko Dard Nahin Hota’, an action-comedythat has him paired opposite TV actress Radhika Madan.

Salman Khan’s brother-in-law had been harbouring dreams of becoming an actor for a while and now, with his superstar brother-in-law’s support, Ayush is ready to big leap into the movies. His debut film, the interestingly titled ‘Loveratri’ is being produced by Salman Khan Films. With Salman’s support at his back, Ayush can be assured of a smooth debut for himself.

The little kid who played Sunny Deol’s son in the blockbuster ‘Gadar’ has now grown up and has already started shooting for his first film as a lead actor. Utkarsh Sharma, son of director-producer Anil Sharma, will be making his debut in ‘Genius’, a film directed by his father. The film features a new girl called Ishita opposite him. Apart from the young debutantes, the film has stalwarts like Mithun Chakraborty and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in important roles.
