Does Sunny Deol really believe in social causes?

Deol said in a recent interview that he is glad about getting a chance to do something that deals with the betterment of the society.

The actor will be seen hosting Savdhaan India on Life Ok on Nov 20 and 21. Savdhaan India is a crime show that focuses on real life crime stories in India. The actor will obviously appear on the show to promote his next film Singh Saab The Great which releases on Nov 22. Deol said in a recent interview that he is glad about getting a chance to do something that deals with the betterment of the society. The one question we want to ask is, how many times do these actors talk about social causes when their movie is not about to hit the theatre screens? Of course there’s a PSA every once in a while, a tiny bite saying ‘don’t waste electricity’ in some award function, but the frequency of the whole ‘I am a responsible citizen’ behaviour seems to increase only when their movie is about to release.

Ajay Devgn was seen promoting Satyagraha and Aakrosh on Crime Patrol in the past. Yes, we loved the fact that he gave his honest opinion on corruption and crime and blah blah, but why this can’t happen when there’s no ulterior motive of promoting a film on the show.

It would be great to see celebs appearing on one of these crime based shows and give a message that sounds purely genuine, that doesn’t give a ‘let’s get done with it, promote my movie, and get the hell out of here’ kind of a vibe…
