Rather, this time it is something which will torture the entire families, unless you have a big heart to watch all kinds of stupid irritating behaviours and still have a laugh about it!

We are talking about the dance reality show, Nach Baliye season 7 soon to be aired on the channel. Going by the past trends, there shouldn’t be anything controversial about it, but the latest update is, hold your breath, Kamaal R Khan a.k.a. KRK has been signed on as a contestant!!!!

Yes, of course it is better than having him as a judge, but KRK as a dance contestant?

The whole world is aware of what kind of a controversial figure KRK is and the type of nonsense comes out of his mouth, actually double the amount of carbon dioxide he emits to pollute the environment. He can’t dance is also very well documented and the show might even reiterate the fact, but why to torture the innocent public just to prove a point? Except the fact that sometimes when KRK talks absolute crack a few of us get a hearty laughter doesn’t mean that he should be forced upon the innocent audience who just wants to enjoy a good reality dance show with some amazing dancers and good looking people. Yeah, KRK is hideous with his colourful please-notice-me-I’m-also-a-celebrity kind of clothes making him literally an eyesore!

We love Star Plus and most of the shows are entertaining for the audiences, but then as the fans of the channel people have rights to express their opinion about the kind of entertainment being fed to them just to garner some TRP’s. In this case, the fact is there is no dearth of celebrities, especially controversial celebrities, who can raise the TRP’s more with their statements than their dancing skills. However, none can match the garbage which KRK brings along whether it is talking about Dhanush’s debut film Raanjhana and talking about his skin colour or objectifying women in a disgraceful manner via his tweets!

We wonder which actress has agreed to become her partner for the show as he proudly claims that she is a famous one! May be the girl was hallucinating when she said to yes to him!

We all love our daily morning Paranthas with butter or the Theplas or Idli-dosas and no matter how many times we have cooked it, a new person will always be around to tell us a new way of cooking the same dish. In such a scenario, it is not a surprise that another cookery show has been launched to cater to our taste buds and it is with a big twist!

Yes, we are talking about the new show on Colors, Farah Ki Daawat hosted by, as the name suggests, Farah Khan. This lady has been a choreographer, director, anchor, wife, mother and what not! There can be doubts about her talent in various roles she plays, but one thing is for sure that she is hugely talented and like a chameleon blends in with her environment and makes it her home.

Cookery shows normally talk about different recipes, but to find out the favourite dish of your favourite celebrity, from his own mouth and even learn how to make it is any fan’s dream come true. The basic concept of getting big Bollywood stars like Abhishek Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Alia Bhatt, Karan Johar etc to share their culinary skills with their fans is a novel idea and never been attempted before in the country. It is obvious the curiosity factor will make the sure a hit, at least in the beginning.

The first episode had Abhishek Bachchan sharing his views about food, his likes and dislikes and to watch him cook a dish would have been a treat for his fans.

Her gift of the gab helps her to find way out of any tricky situation and bindaas attitude relates with the common man. No wonder, she is becoming a regular face on TV for all the big reality shows!

The show is back with its sixth season and the host remains the same, director Rohit Shetty, who is known to portray death-defying stunts in all his movies. Who better than him, can do justice to this kind of a format for a game show where stunts are as real as they get, even if with precautions and safety features in place. No doubt the host’s previous host, Akshay Kumar did a fantastic job, but Rohit is equally good at making sure that contestants give their best and for audiences, it becomes a visual treat.

Going by the trailers of the show, it can be safely said that the makers have raised the bar; some really crazy stunts have been performed by some of the most interesting contestants. In fact, it is a mixed bag when it comes to contestants of this season. TV stars, film actors, item song girl etc. have found a place and even though they might have participated in the show for publicity, credit must be given for leaving their comfort zone and trying out something so risky and difficult.

This way, the Colors channel should get a pat on its back for providing wholesome entertainment to its loyal audience.

All through the week, it is catering to the housewives and the elders of the family and weekend has been kept aside for the youth of the country. And no, it is not just the routine dance and song reality shows for the youth. How life changed after Bigg Boss 8

It is so easy for us mere mortals to form habits!

Especially when it is about a TV show that keeps you on the edge of your seats, gives total entertainment (don’t bother about the intellectual quotient as long as it is entertainment) and makes you wait the whole day just to watch it for only one hour.

Yes, you guessed it right!

We are talking about the longest game show of the year, Bigg Boss 8 which is reaching its culmination point today evening. The winner will be announced and after that, there will be a long silence! May be darkness will embrace so many of us who won’t have a freaking idea of what to do during that auspicious hour we use to spend glued to our sofa sets watching and enjoying the reality show. Life will surely come to a standstill!

You think we are exaggerating? Well, ask those children who have had to wait for their dinner after 10pm! Ask those office employees who, if got late in the office, spent an extra hour just to watch it in their recreational rooms so as not to miss even a single minute of the show! Ask that girlfriend whose phone call was disconnected by her boyfriend just because he didn’t want an interruption while watching the show, even as the poor guy tried all day and night to do some coochie-coo with his girl! What to do, she called at the wrong hour!

These are not isolated incidents, but are very common amongst people who really love the reality shows on Indian TV. We are concerned if depression will set in, people will queue up to see psychiatrists, sleep-walk will become a common phenomenon with people grabbing their remotes and watching TV in the middle of the night with the hope that one, may be just one more episode, of Bigg Boss will come on air. Who knows, dreams of Ali might make people laugh in their sleep or Dimpy’s screams might make people wet their beds! Gautam and Karishma can bring smiles to resting souls while Pritam may make people call radio stations in their dreams!

On a serious note, this show has definitely created a space for itself in our homes and hearts and people did plan their schedules as per the show’s timings. Now suddenly, there would be a void difficult to fulfil, even as new show will be launched to replace it.

Let’s see who wins the show as that will give a lot of hope for viewers and fans to patiently wait for the next season. If it is Gautam, it would be a real and fair game. If Karishma wins, people might say results are rigged, but whatever may happen, their journey has made us feel happy and given us total entertainment!

And rightly so; who doesn’t want their own 15 seconds of fame?

In fact there are some people who have reached the height of name, fame and money by practically doing nothing except getting their pictures clicked!

Topping the list is none other than the booty-diva, Kim Kardashian!

The reality-show winner has come a very long way just by maintaining and displaying her booty for the world to see. In return, she has earned truckloads of money by having her own TV show, selling her pictures for millions of dollars, getting hooked up with one of the best rappers of today’s generation, Kayne West and the list goes on!

The newest addition to this list of various ways of earning money by doing nothing, but sitting on that gorgeous ass the whole day is getting a book published. No, she isn’t a writer; probably the most she would have written would be to sign her cheque books you know! But this book doesn’t require writing skills. All that is needed are her pictures, racy ones, and the next best-seller will be in town. Yes, that’s the latest brain-dead idea that has struck her out of nowhere and she got damn excited to share her private pictures, clicked for her beau Kayne, with the whole freaking world! Isn’t this cool?

The book is also very aptly titled, “Selfish!”

Given the purpose of the book, this is really a genius title! It will have nothing but 352 pages of sheer selfies clicked by her in various dressed or un-dressed forms in and around her house. Initially she clicked such pictures to seduce and delight her hubby, but when her step-brother, Brody Jenner, asked if it has to be exclusively for Kanye, Kim got a flash in her head!

It was like a divine intervention via her step-bro to give her another idea of minting money.

The best part is she will be doing something which she anyways does since she got nothing better to do, i.e. click her own pictures!
