<p>You may call him a rebel, but Kevin is blessed with an attitude and style that surely make heads turn.</p>
<p><strong>Andrew Flintoff</strong></p>
<p><a href="https://www.youngisthan.in/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/Andrew-Flintoff.jpg" class='wp-img-bg-off' rel='mygallery'><img decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-30231" src="https://www.youngisthan.in/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/Andrew-Flintoff.jpg" alt="Andrew-Flintoff" width="600" height="400" srcset="https://www.youngisthan.in/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/Andrew-Flintoff.jpg 620w, https://www.youngisthan.in/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/Andrew-Flintoff-600x400.jpg 600w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></a></p>

<p>They play impeccably on the field, no doubts on that, but when there is a pre-match, post-match or press conference regarding cricket, their language, articulation, pronunciation, vocabulary, in fact almost everything comes to a standstill.</p>
<p>Most of the captains from countries in the Indian subcontinent have difficulty speaking in English, especially on such a humongous platform but here we will focus on some tongue-in-cheek comments too!</p>
<p>Here are some captains who had some really funny interviews:</p>
<p><strong>Inzamam-Ul-Haq</strong></p>
<p>The foremost entry goes to ‘Inzy’ bhai for making any tense match light-hearted with his interviews that came to a screeching halt, especially if it was an English interviewer on the other side. The man, infamous for the sloppiest run-outs in the history of cricket is also famous for getting the chills when an interview was conducted with him in a language he never learnt.</p>
<p>His usual interviewer was Rameez Raja, another prolific cricketer who never spared a chance to bash Inzy bhai for his ‘englissss’. His most used words are ‘is good game’ ‘boys is really played well’. ‘Bismillah-ir-Rehman-ir Rahim’, he speaks much better English now.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.youngisthan.in/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/inzamam-ul-haq.jpg" class='wp-img-bg-off' rel='mygallery'><img decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-27879" src="https://www.youngisthan.in/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/inzamam-ul-haq.jpg" alt="inzamam-ul-haq" width="650" height="341" /></a></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Virendra Sehwag</strong></p>
<p>Our Viru paaji is the Indian version of Inzy bhai. Viru bhai was captain of the Indian team at the time Rahul ‘Jammy’ Dravid fell ill. <em>(During his term as vice-captain, Virendra Sehwag skippered the team In the place of injured Dravid in 2 ODI and 1 Test.)</em> Viru paaji was always serious during his ‘Angrejjeeee’ interviews especially since he was always a reserved person who never really liked the media hype around him.</p>
<p>His usual comments during his interviews were… ‘I neverrrr expected this’ ‘ When I was growing up… ‘ ‘ I was enjoying the game’. Viru Paji has always been ridiculed for his ‘Englisss’ by cricketers Harbhajan Singh and Yuvraj Singh, little do these boys know that their English prowess is just the same!</p>
<p><a href="https://www.youngisthan.in/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/Virender-Sehwag.jpg" class='wp-img-bg-off' rel='mygallery'><img decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-27880" src="https://www.youngisthan.in/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/Virender-Sehwag.jpg" alt="Virendra sehwag" width="650" height="398" /></a></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Ricky Ponting</strong></p>
<p>This captain hailing from Australia is one of the most confident cricket captains you would ever come across! There was a time when all of his interviews playing against England were full of hateful words for Kevin Pietersen and Andrew Flintoff– his nemesis especially during the Ashes.</p>
<p>His interviews were not having any problems in English, his actual problem was an unabashed interview at the speed of the Rajdhani Express! To be able to understand his interview correctly, you really needed to focus a lot on his words or else you would have simply missed his point!</p>
<p><a href="https://www.youngisthan.in/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/ricky-ponting.jpg" class='wp-img-bg-off' rel='mygallery'><img decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-27881" src="https://www.youngisthan.in/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/ricky-ponting.jpg" alt="Ricky Ponting" width="650" height="366" /></a></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Nasser Hussain </strong></p>
<p>This English captain took England to insurmountable heights, but at a cost. He is now a commentator and interviewer himself, but he failed dismally at being able to defend the Ashes losses against Australia. He faced the irk of the media even being called insane for his words defending his 13 straight toss losses against Steve Waugh, the then Australian Captain at that time.</p>
<p>In an interview, he even gave a shocking reply to the Queen of England, saying that it his decision to make on the field, even if they turn out to be wrong! You got guts bro! He has had innumerable verbal spats with Ravi Shastri in the commentary box when the former called the non-usage of DRS and BCCI’s IPL success ‘a disgrace’.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.youngisthan.in/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/Nasser-Hussain.jpg" class='wp-img-bg-off' rel='mygallery'><img decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-27882" src="https://www.youngisthan.in/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/Nasser-Hussain.jpg" alt="Nasser Hussain " width="650" height="367" /></a></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Shahid Afridi</strong></p>
<p>Well, we kept this funniest interview comment for the last – it is too hilarious to digest!</p>
<p>Shahid Bhai accidentally blurted out the ‘N’ word during an interview with television commentator and prolific cricket expert Mark Nicholas. If you see the video over and over again… you might think he actually says ‘my n****r’. But, later on he clarified that he actually spoke ‘thank you Mark Nicholas’ in a hurry.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.youngisthan.in/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/shahid.jpg" class='wp-img-bg-off' rel='mygallery'><img decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-27883" src="https://www.youngisthan.in/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/shahid.jpg" alt="Shahid Afridi" width="650" height="392" srcset="https://www.youngisthan.in/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/shahid.jpg 650w, https://www.youngisthan.in/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/shahid-250x150.jpg 250w, https://www.youngisthan.in/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/shahid-400x240.jpg 400w" sizes="(max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px" /></a></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Michael Clarke </strong></p>
<p>He had a super-fun moment when an interviewer accidentally said, ‘you have had tremendous sex, errr success on the field’. Clarke was witty enough to add to the comment that ‘ohh yess… add that too! How well do you know me?’ 😛</p>
<p><a href="https://www.youngisthan.in/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/michael-clarke-cricket.jpg" class='wp-img-bg-off' rel='mygallery'><img decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-27884" src="https://www.youngisthan.in/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/michael-clarke-cricket.jpg" alt="michael-clarke-cricket" width="650" height="366" /></a></p>
<p>These captains, just like us normal human beings who had some really funny moments in their cricketing careers. These are some memories they might cherish for years to come. Nonetheless, their funny interviews did make us laugh and snort, especially after a tense game of cricket!</p>
<p>Keep it up guys</p>

After witnessing over a month of hard work and close matches, the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup will see Australia vs. New Zealand in the finals.</p>
<div id="attachment_27022" style="width: 610px" class="wp-caption alignnone"><a href="https://www.youngisthan.in/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/Australia-vs-New-Zealand-final.jpg" class='wp-img-bg-off' rel='mygallery'><img aria-describedby="caption-attachment-27022" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-27022" src="https://www.youngisthan.in/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/Australia-vs-New-Zealand-final.jpg" alt="Australia vs New Zealand" width="600" height="360" srcset="https://www.youngisthan.in/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/Australia-vs-New-Zealand-final.jpg 1000w, https://www.youngisthan.in/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/Australia-vs-New-Zealand-final-250x150.jpg 250w, https://www.youngisthan.in/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/Australia-vs-New-Zealand-final-660x396.jpg 660w, https://www.youngisthan.in/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/Australia-vs-New-Zealand-final-400x240.jpg 400w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></a><p id="caption-attachment-27022" class="wp-caption-text">Australia vs New Zealand</p></div>
<p>Both teams have been co-hosts and in fantastic form while at it. Where the Kiwis have maintained an unbeaten record, Australia entered the final facing one defeat that too at the hands of New Zealand in the Pool match.</p>
<p>Australia has entered the finals for the sixth time in as many as eleven editions of the tournament. New Zealand, on the other hand, is a first-time entrant in the finals of cricket’s biggest event.</p>
<p>It is only the second time in the tournament’s history that co-hosts have entered the World Cup finals. The 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup saw India and Sri Lanka face one another at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium.</p>
<div id="attachment_27002" style="width: 610px" class="wp-caption alignnone"><a href="https://www.youngisthan.in/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/ind-vs-sri-lanka.jpg" class='wp-img-bg-off' rel='mygallery'><img aria-describedby="caption-attachment-27002" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-27002" src="https://www.youngisthan.in/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/ind-vs-sri-lanka.jpg" alt="India vs. Sri Lanka in the 2011 World Cup was the first all-host finale" width="600" height="423" srcset="https://www.youngisthan.in/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/ind-vs-sri-lanka.jpg 700w, https://www.youngisthan.in/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/ind-vs-sri-lanka-567x400.jpg 567w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></a><p id="caption-attachment-27002" class="wp-caption-text">India vs. Sri Lanka in the 2011 World Cup was the first all-host finale</p></div>
<p>Australia, without a doubt, would be the favourites entering in this match, since the match takes place in their own backyard. New Zealand would definitely face troubles with hitting sixes, as the MCG is larger than all stadiums in New Zealand.</p>
<p>Michael Clarke has faced physical ailments even before the tournament began and has not been in the best of touch. He also announced retirement from ODIs this morning and will play the World Cup final as his last match.</p>
<div id="attachment_27003" style="width: 610px" class="wp-caption alignnone"><a href="https://www.youngisthan.in/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/michael-clarke.jpg" class='wp-img-bg-off' rel='mygallery'><img aria-describedby="caption-attachment-27003" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-27003" src="https://www.youngisthan.in/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/michael-clarke.jpg" alt="Michael Clarke will retire after the World Cup" width="600" height="338" /></a><p id="caption-attachment-27003" class="wp-caption-text">Michael Clarke will retire after the World Cup</p></div>
<p>Brendon McCullum appeared explosive in the Pool games, but his performance unfortunately has deteriorated ever since. But on the plus side, New Zealand’s middle-order has performed steadily.</p>
<p>Steven Smith, Glenn Maxwell, Mitchell Starc and Mitchell Johnson would be the players to look out for in tomorrow’s game. Smith scored century against India in the semi-final match which proved handy in their opponents crashing out of the tournament.</p>
<div id="attachment_27008" style="width: 610px" class="wp-caption alignnone"><a href="https://www.youngisthan.in/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/Mitchell-Johnson-and-Mitchell-Starc.jpg" class='wp-img-bg-off' rel='mygallery'><img aria-describedby="caption-attachment-27008" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-27008" src="https://www.youngisthan.in/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/Mitchell-Johnson-and-Mitchell-Starc.jpg" alt="Mitchell Johnson and Mitchell Starc will be key players for Australia" width="600" height="339" /></a><p id="caption-attachment-27008" class="wp-caption-text">Mitchell Johnson and Mitchell Starc will be key players for Australia</p></div>
<p>For New Zealand, it will be Martin Guptill, Tim Southee, Trent Boult and Grant Elliott, who will prove to be the deciding factor.</p>
<div id="attachment_27012" style="width: 610px" class="wp-caption alignnone"><a href="https://www.youngisthan.in/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/Elliott-Southee-Boult.jpg" class='wp-img-bg-off' rel='mygallery'><img aria-describedby="caption-attachment-27012" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-27012" src="https://www.youngisthan.in/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/Elliott-Southee-Boult.jpg" alt="Tim Southee, Grant Elliott and Trent Boult" width="600" height="400" /></a><p id="caption-attachment-27012" class="wp-caption-text">Tim Southee, Grant Elliott and Trent Boult</p></div>
<p>Both teams look evenly matched having played many close games in the past.</p>
<p>New Zealand has played all its matches in their home nation. Australia played one match in New Zealand against the hosts that they lost by one wicket.</p>
<p>Since this match will be their first game in Australia, it will be interesting to witness how the Kiwis handle the pressure Down Under.</p>

<p><strong>With 70% of stadium tickets bought by Indians, Australia captain Michael Clarke was forced to send out an SOS Tweet to his fellow countrymen for support.</strong></p>
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true">
<p lang="en" dir="ltr">I call on all Australian cricket lovers to paint the SCG gold on Thursday. We need your support. <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/goldout?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">#goldout</a></p>

<p><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script></p>
<p>Former Australian pace bowler <strong>Brett Lee</strong> believes that the hosts will outperform the Asian team, in the process setting up the final clash against New Zealand.</p>
<p>However, with the Indian fans painting the Sydney Cricket Ground blue, MS Dhoni and his men will get the much-needed motivation to beat Australia in its own backyard. <strong>Rohit Sharma appeared confident before this important clash</strong>, as he spoke to the media, “Of course we can win, no question about it. We know how to play big games. Spinners have been vital, responsibility will be on openers.”</p>
<p><strong>India will rely on its openers Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan for a steady start</strong>, making batting simpler for the middle-order batsmen including Virat Kohli and Suresh Raina.</p>
<div id="attachment_26731" style="width: 610px" class="wp-caption alignnone"><a href="https://www.youngisthan.in/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/sharma-dhawan.jpg" class='wp-img-bg-off' rel='mygallery'><img aria-describedby="caption-attachment-26731" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-26731" src="https://www.youngisthan.in/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/sharma-dhawan.jpg" alt="Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan's opening partnership will be crucial" width="600" height="339" /></a><p id="caption-attachment-26731" class="wp-caption-text">Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan&#8217;s opening partnership will be crucial</p></div>
<p>Australia, on the other hand, would be confident playing at home and try hard to get one step closer to winning their fifth World Cup.</p>
<p>The Aussies bowling spearhead <strong>Mitchell Johnson</strong> has vowed to sledge Indian batsmen at the SCG tomorrow. The audience at the ground and the one watching from home can anticipate a few verbal spats between players of the two squads.</p>
<div id="attachment_26733" style="width: 610px" class="wp-caption alignnone"><a href="https://www.youngisthan.in/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/Mitchell-Johnson.jpg" class='wp-img-bg-off' rel='mygallery'><img aria-describedby="caption-attachment-26733" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-26733" src="https://www.youngisthan.in/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/Mitchell-Johnson.jpg" alt="Mitchell Johnson said he would take up sledging against Indian players" width="600" height="382" srcset="https://www.youngisthan.in/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/Mitchell-Johnson.jpg 550w, https://www.youngisthan.in/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/Mitchell-Johnson-95x60.jpg 95w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></a><p id="caption-attachment-26733" class="wp-caption-text">Mitchell Johnson said he would take up sledging against Indian players</p></div>
<p>It was the recently concluded tri-series when Australian opening batsman David Warner engaged in a verbal duel with India’s Rohit Sharma during an ODI match, for which he was penalised by the ICC. The outcome of it was Warner keeping out of any kind of heated verbal interacting with his opponents. This was when Mitchell Johnson put his hand up saying he won’t withhold from exchanging heated words.</p>
<p>India, too, are said to be fine with sledging during the match, but vowed to not cross the line.</p>
<p>Former Australian pace bowler Stuart Clarke has predicted <strong>Ravichandran Ashwin</strong> as being the most difficult man to tackle for Australia in tomorrow’s bout against India.</p>
<div id="attachment_26736" style="width: 610px" class="wp-caption alignnone"><a href="https://www.youngisthan.in/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/r-ashwin.jpg" class='wp-img-bg-off' rel='mygallery'><img aria-describedby="caption-attachment-26736" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-26736" src="https://www.youngisthan.in/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/r-ashwin.jpg" alt="Ravichandran Ashwin's 10 overs against Australia would be crucial" width="600" height="339" /></a><p id="caption-attachment-26736" class="wp-caption-text">Ravichandran Ashwin&#8217;s 10 overs against Australia would be crucial</p></div>
<p>After its win against Bangladesh in the quarter-finals, India successfully managed to bowl out an opponent for the seventh consecutive match. Indian bowlers would be looking to take the tally to number eight tomorrow against one of their bitter rivals.</p>
<p><strong>The Australian opening pair of Aaron Finch and David Warner has not performed at its best potential</strong>, which would be a plus side for India. Nevertheless, their middle-order batting has risen to the occasion whenever needed and getting them out would be the key.</p>
<div id="attachment_26737" style="width: 610px" class="wp-caption alignnone"><a href="https://www.youngisthan.in/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/warner-finch.jpg" class='wp-img-bg-off' rel='mygallery'><img aria-describedby="caption-attachment-26737" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-26737" src="https://www.youngisthan.in/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/warner-finch.jpg" alt="Australian opening partnership of Aaron Finch and David Warner has not really clicked" width="600" height="338" /></a><p id="caption-attachment-26737" class="wp-caption-text">Australian opening partnership of Aaron Finch and David Warner has not really clicked</p></div>
<p><strong>India’s pace attack comprising Mohit Sharma, Umesh Yadav and Mohammed Shami possess the ability to get ten wickets and they have shown it in the prior seven occasions</strong>. Knowing whether they would be able to repeat the feat tomorrow will have to wait.</p>
<p>Though Australia, as hosts and a much superior team as compared to India, looks likely to win this match, India will definitely put up a strong fight and hope to retain the World Cup for the first time.</p>
