It is a kind of restriction that stops moving forward. It is a kind of unknown barrier that is invisible but one can only realize it at the back of the mind.

Now, whatever may be the kind of feeling but it seems that life is stuck.
Somewhere the situations around you run against you, all the energies turn to become negative.
It can happen to a student or a mid-age person who starts to feel stuck in different ways. A person may feel the same in a relationship or it can be a standstill life without excitement. A job that has no progress and makes the life of a person stagnant.

Why does life seems stuck? How long can this be?

Different people have many reasons to feel helpless about the sudden stagnant life. This brings boredom and affects each thought in the mind. The time itself is the main reason that makes a person suffer from boredom. A person may try several times to attempt a single thing but it will not happen. The more unsuccess retrieves which keeps on depressing the person. And at one point the person starts to feel that everything is finishing and nothing is left.

Time and the clock on your wall will never stop and so this boring, stuck life will never remain the same. Bad times will never remain for long as time flies. The practices with the different trials and errors can make the upcoming time better and the best.
One thing has to be clear in life that nothing comes easy and handy. Each success comes up after failures.
When a person feels stuck, it is the time when he or she should be calm. He or she should think over the reasons for being stuck that is bringing stress in life.
Instead of regretting the hard times and getting into depression, it becomes necessary to slow down instead of losing patience.

Understand the place of difficulties

Where are the problems? This is the first thing that should strike the mind instead of “Why I could not”. There are differences in both the questions, one will help to sort out the problems while the latter one will put into stress and raise more worthless confusions. So, it is necessary to understand the difficulties instead of wasting time feeling stuck. Stay busy in discovering yourself.

Don’t hurry and Stay calm

Never hurry when you are confused and stressed. It is a time when a person no longer is strong enough to think or do something fruitful. So, stay calm until the feelings of confusion and stress are releasing to some extent. Finally after which it becomes important to talk to a family member or friend. They can empathize and push to the right track when a person is still under stress and stuck in a position in life.

Life seems stuck it is a time when something new and better is required to be built. It will come with new learnings and self-improvements.

It becomes their responsibility to have the right curriculum that prepares young impressionable minds to face the world as mature, sensible and sensitive beings who can contribute positively and productively in the nation’s and society’s well-being.

However, the focus today is more on theoretical knowledge that might or might not help in getting a job rather than helping the kids to learn to live a life.

Let me share with you 5 skills that any educational institution must teach the children to enable them to live an independent life.

1) Communication Skills

In our fast-changing world where people interact not only with their neighbours, but all across the globe, communication is the key to solve any problem. A communication gap also leads to major conflicts, whether in a family, relationship or on a country to country basis. Rather than teaching just the theoretical aspects of this skill set, more and more kids should be taught the practicality of it with live examples and should be given grades based on how well they practice it in real life!

2) Presentation Skills

Everybody goes to school, learns to read and write, give exams and then start looking for a job. However, even with the same score, one kid gets a job, another one doesn’t! Sometimes the difference lies in their presentation skills. And mind you, it has nothing to do with money in your pockets. It might play a slight role, but the art of presenting yourself and your thoughts in the most pleasing manner leaves a long lasting impact of you as an individual that requires knowledge and practice of utilising all possible resources at your disposal. Shabbily dressed people or those who don’t understand the importance of leaving a good first impression with physical presence, no matter how intelligent or rich, are never appreciated!

3) Technical Skills

There are certain skills that always come handy, no matter which country, what kind of economy you’re from. The skills of carpentry, plumbing or being an electrician or the ability to make something with your hands always attract a premium. I’m not suggesting these should be your career options, but knowing about them, having a mastery over either or all of them does help in the long run. During bad times when you don’t get an employment of your choice, you can always make do by bringing these skills into practice as a stop-gap arrangement.

4) Financial Aptitude

Earlier generations were brought up on socialism, but now we are moving towards capitalism! Hence, the importance of financial inclusiveness as well as understanding of financial aspects can’t be ignored. Children should be taught from a young age about the importance of fiscal prudence so that they learn not only how to value money, but also how to make more money without getting into a mess! Letting them plan their budgets, pocket money and other expenses can help them get a deeper insight into how money works.

5) Social Behaviour

Parents, family and teachers do teach the basic ethics and morals of how to live an ideal life, but the world is changing and it is no longer only black or white, good or bad! These differences need to be taught to kids so that every child is able to adapt to social order. A blanket cover of teaching these skills will never work as, for example, some kids are introverts and some are extroverts.

For both these types of personality, the world functions in a different manner. Making children learn about society and helping them to adapt accordingly is a must for educational institutions if they want to reduce crime and anti-social elements of the future.

We study, we work, we do networking, and we do everything with only one thought: how doing these and many more things can make us rich!

What we all fail to understand is that there is no magic to become rich. Luck and destiny might or might not play a part n making you rich, but if you don’t have certain attributes in you, then nothing can make you rich in life, ever!

Let’s see what these 6 most important will decide whether you deserve to be rich:

1) Passion

You got to have passion for your goals and dreams! And you should be ready to go to any lengths to achieve them and be ready to pay any price for that. Difficulties and obstacles shouldn’t discourage you, but should add fuel to your fire! A half-hearted attempt or dispassionate action to fulfil your goals will take you nowhere and you will end up cursing your stars, family, friends and every tom dick and harry who ever crossed your path in life!

2) Performance

Normally, we do what we are told to do! Or depends on how much money we are getting for our job. Instead, what we should focus on is how we can give better than what is expected out of us. Giving more than 100% should be our target, every day, every moment of our life! Only then we can aspire to outdo everyone else and rise up the ladder of success to be super rich and super successful!

3) Learning

Learning shouldn’t be restricted to only school and college life. It has to be an ongoing process till your last breath, whether it is enhancing your skill sets for the industry you are working in or learning about life to deal with it in a better and more mature manner. The day you stop learning, you’ll be stagnant and stagnant water only stinks!

4) Values and ethics

Every day we hear people talking about doing things by hook or crook to achieve success. True, it can be done, but is it long lasting? Can you make a skyscraper based on a foundation that is weak and made of flaws? No, you cannot! Hence, if the shortcut looks easy, it is because easier paths never lead to grand success in life. Long term sustainable success and richness only comes by following difficult paths following the right ethics and values in life, which may sound hollow in the short term or might not even give results soon, but eventually make you sit on the throne of success like a real king!

5) Knowing yourself

This is the most important factor when searching for success and riches of life. If you don’t know yourself inside out, you’ll not know what exactly you need and why you need it! Then how are you going to run after it and put all your energies and passion in it? Self-knowledge is the key to success and without it you will always remain in self-doubts and there will be confusions and you’ll never be able to stay focused.

6) Sharing

Don’t earn to keep it all with you. Share and watch how everything that you gave out comes back to you manifolds! Share love, money, give help, stand by someone in need, do whatever possible to make sure you look like a human being rather than just a money minting machine. The best way to earn paper notes is to invest in human capital and relationships. Only then you can reach the top!

With all these attributes, combined with real hard and smart work, you definitely have a shot at achieving super success and be really rich! Otherwise, even if you get success, it will be short-lived! Be deserving of money and success!

Only a few of these kids have scored these high marks and there is no guarantee that all these toppers are genuine learners and not the masters of rote-type of learning ingrained in our psyche for past so many decades! The world is changing very fast and what we need as a nation are the youth who can adapt fast, learn fast and use their own heads instead of following a herd mentality. They should be able to take their own decision rather than being given books to rote from and vomit it out on an exam answer sheet!

Compared to the tried and tested education system based in school, home education or homeschooling as it is called in the west is gaining ground with lots of advantages. It is like education is also evolving and it makes sense to move with the change rather than resist it.

Homeschooling is a concept where the parents take responsibility of teaching their children at home and only those subjects which are important for the overall development of the child based on his/her interests and aptitude. Not only that, the personal attention given to the child helps him learn faster in a comfortable friendly environment away from the bullies, strict teachers etc. Not all kids are bullies or all teachers are bad, but studying from life rather than mugging the notes is always better to prepare a child for the challenges in life.

We all agree that all those subjects and topics that we studied in school are hardly of any use in our day to day life. In fact most of us don’t even remember what we studied in school! So why to pass on the same dated system to the next generation? It would be better if our education boards and policies of the education ministry align itself with the concept of home schooling so that those who prefer it can take advantage of it without being away from the main system. It could be something like studying at home and then giving exams to test their knowledge in subject which they want to pursue in their life. Grading can happen accordingly and the admission procedure in various colleges and institutes can integrate this way of schooling as well.

It is not easy in such a big country like ours, but not impossible! Efforts have to be put in to bring up thinking individuals who can utilize brains instead of servants taking orders!

We are born intelligent; don’t let outdated education models make us dumb as we grow up!
