#RakhiSawant Joins BJP?

TV and film actress Rakhi Sawant gate-crashed Bhartiya Janata Part headquarters in Delhi where party president Rajnath Singh was praising VK Singh for joining the party.

Barely a month after Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray compared her with former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, TV and film actress Rakhi Sawant gate-crashed Bhartiya Janata Part headquarters in Delhi where party president Rajnath Singh was praising VK Singh for joining the party.

Showering praises on BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and showing her affection for him, Sawant said that she would like Modi to become prime minister of the country.

“I am a daughter of the BJP and it is like my home. I want people to support Modi, and I am sure he is going to be the next PM,” Sawant said.

“Just the way I have come from Mumbai to Delhi, I want the Janta to come out and vote for Narendra Modi. I am certain he will be PM,” she added.

On being asked whether she was joining the party, she said, “I have just come to the office. I do not know anything about joining the party. The senior leaders will be able to say better. I haven’t thought of anything as yet.”

However, the rumours are high that she has already joined the party. She remained on top of the twitter trends due to the speculation.

In an editorial in party mouthpiece Saamna, Thackeray had called Arvind Kejriwal an “item girl” and said that the starlet can govern better that him. “If Uddhav Thackeray thinks I would make a better politician than Kejriwal, I thank him. I feel bad that my name is used by politicians unnecessarily, I am just an actor who works hard,” Sawant had said.

“If Modiji can sell tea and govern the country, then why can’t I do so as an item girl,” she had said.

While Sawant earned some praises, she was trolled heavily too for her act. Here are some top tweets:
