Mobile World Congress 2014: Lenovo Android Smartphones Launched

Lenovo has launched the new S-Series range of Android smartphones called S660, S850 and S860 at the Mobile World Congress 2014 in Barcelona, Spain.

Lenovo has launched three new devices in its S-Series range of smartphones christened, Lenovo S660, S850 and S860 at the on-going Mobile World Congress 2014 in Barcelona, Spain.

The Lenovo S860 has been priced at $349 or Rs 21,700 approximately, the Lenovo S850 at 269 dollars or Rs 16,700 approximately and finally, the Lenovo S860 at &229 or Rs 14,250 approximately.

All three devices will be offered on sale starting from June 2014.

Specs-wise, all the three devices in the new S-Series range run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box and support dual-SIM functionality.

The range-topping Lenovo S660 features a 4.7-inch IPS qHD (540X960 pixels) display. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor along with a 1 GB of RAM. The device features an 8 megapixel rear camera and a 0.3 megapixel front-facing camera. Stock storage space is 8GB, which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. Connectivity options include, Wi-Fi, EDGE, GPRS, Bluetooth and 3G.

The Lenovo S850 features a 50inch HD (720X1280 pixels) display and boasts of an all-glass exterior available in Pink and White colours. The S850 is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor alongside 1GB of RAM. The highlight of the Lenovo S850 is its camera: a 13 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front facing camera.

Lastly, the Lenovo S860, which muck like the Lenovo P780 boasts of a 4,000mAh battery, a 5.3-inch HD (720X1280 pixels) display and dual front speakers. Camera-wise, the S860 features an 8 megapixel rear camera. The device is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor with 2GB of RAM. In-built storage capacity is 16GB, while there is no word on any expandable storage.

The new S-Series range of smartphones from Lenovo are expected to land on Indian shores by September 2014 at the aforementioned approximate prices.
