The most outstanding feature, however, is the Huawei Ascend P7 camera, 8 MP and front facing, promising to deliver high quality selfies. It also possesses a special shooting mode for clicking panoramic group selfies, also known as groufies, a term coined by the manufacturing giant itself. With an expected launch of Huawei Ascend P7 in the world market in June 2014, there isn’t much information on its tentative date of arrival in India. Likely to give tough competition to the likes of Samsung Galaxy S5, HTC One M8, and Sony Xperia Z2, this new product from the house of Huawei, hopes to take front-facing camera photos one step further.

Proclaiming to take smartphone design to a new and amazing level of craftsmanship, the Huawei Ascend P7 boasts of a 7-layer surface treatment at the back using a spin-effect micro-pattern design. Flanked by a metal rim at its sides and fortified with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection at the front and at the rear, the device is beautiful and visually appealing. At 6.5 mm thickness, the handset weighs merely 124 gms.
Donning a 5-inch IPS LCD display, with 1920×1080 resolution and 445 ppi of pixel density, the phone runs on Android 4.4.2 version modified with Huawei’s own Emotion 2.3 UI. Under the hood, ticks a 1.8 GHz quad-core Cortex-A9 processor, along with Mali-450 GPU, 2 GB of RAM, and Huawei Kirin 910T chipset. Other Huawei Ascend P7 features include ultra power saving mode, 4G LTE networking, automatic switching between networks, and more.
The device holds 16 GB of in-built storage with maximum user storage of 12 GB. The micro slot enables expanding the memory up to 32 GB, with the help of a microSD card.
The phone carries an impressive 13 MP rear-end camera and a whopping 8MP front-facing camera. The 13 MP camera comes loaded with features, such as, LED flash, 1080p video recording, and voice activation. The stunning 8 MP camera comes packed with BSI sensor, 5-piece lens, and IMAGESmart 2.0 software, and offers 10 level auto-facial enhancement mode & wide-angle photo functions. However, the highlight is the selfie-panorama feature which enables users to shoot groufies with ease and utmost clarity.
Connectivity options offered by the handset include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, GPS, NFC, USB 2.0, and Bluetooth 4.0.
A 2500 mAh battery powers the smartphone, offering a talktime of 14 hours on 3G.
