Different Stages That a #Student Goes Through Before #Examination

Stages of examination – Examinations are a part of children’s life determines whether or not a student will accomplish the dream. However, there are several emotions that a student goes through before the exam.

In India, parents, teachers and relatives always stress about the #importanceofexamination and how scoring good marks impacts a child’s career prospect.

For most of us, it is only later that we understand that our studies have nothing to do with practical life.

Nevertheless, #examinations are a part of our lives and every student has to overcome this ‘barrier’ to achieve their goals.

Here we look at the moments that we experience the day before an examination –

The very first act of desperation you engage in is checking whether or not you have the complete notes for the subject in concern. Once you receive positive assurance, you go through the syllabus and gawk at the number of chapters you have to study in a limited duration.

When you realise that there’s a lot left to study, you evidently panic. You somehow manage to maintain your composure and look for alternatives that might help you swot up the important portions. This is where you seek assistance of the previous exam question papers and stress on perfecting answers to the questions that have repeatedly appeared each year.

In the midst of all the commotion, you begin to daydream. However, these fantasies are different than usual, as you think about how you emerge a topper in the examination. It is only when you come back to present that you understand that getting even the passing marks would be a massive challenge, leave alone topping the exam.

When you realise that you are struggling, you begin calling up the studious batch. You may have ignored these students right through the year, but now they are your best friends.

Now you have all your notes (including the Xerox copies of the lessons that you did not have earlier). You are determined to stay awake even if it is the middle of the night. Coffee and other beverages become your go-to source, as they give you the ‘power’ to stay awake.

While at it, you also offer your prayers to the Almighty, who apparently has the solutions for all your exam woes.

You count the remaining hours with droopy eyes, all this while with a full coffee mug in your hand.

This, nevertheless, is not just a nervous phase. You begin planning your post-exam trips that you would want to take with your friends. “Essel World. Best hai. Sabne ghar se paise le lena.”

When you come back to the real world, you begin to stress again. “5 more chapters to go…over one hundred pages. God!!!” Your bowel movements go haywire, as nervousness takes over you at its best potential.

Asking your classmates, “Padhai hua kya?” is common. If they respond something positive, the panic nerves begin fluctuating again.

This experience is common among students, regardless of whether they belong to a school or a university.

Once the examinations are over, there is no looking back (until the day of the result that is).
