Flying Tanks & Ever Burning Lamps – Our Ancestors Were Way Too Advanced..!

Wisdom comes with age and if you think that our ancestors were not so advanced then think again!

Because these eight facts will leave you questioning yourself that after all who is or was really advanced? We or them?

1.  Ever Burning Lamps

According to certain ancient traditions, it was the custom to place a burning lamp inside a tomb before it was sealed. Hundreds of years later, excavators have found the lamps in perfect condition and still burning…

2.  Crystal skulls from Atlantis

The famed crystal skulls of ancient Mesoamerica have been a source of mystery and controversy for decades. The handful of known skulls have defied even the most advanced scientific efforts to determine who made them, when, and most puzzling, how?

3.  Pharaoh’s Helicopter

The picture above shows the mysterious hieroglyphs in Temple of Seti I at Abydos.

Some people say they represent modern-day vehicles such as a helicopter, a submarine, a zeppelin and a glider.

4.  Jantar MantarRajasthan

In 2010 it was added to India’s list of Unesco World Heritage Sites.
Jantar Mantar of Jaipur in Rajasthan is the biggest stone observatory in the world, which is still in a running condition and stands witness to the wisdom of the former age.

5.  Flying Tanks

A flying tank – a concept that was pursued by both the Americans and the Soviets during the 1930s.

The Antonov A-40 Krylya Tanka was a Soviet attempt to allow a tank to glide onto a battlefield after being towed aloft by an airplane. It was designed in 1940 by engineer Oleg Antonov.

In the U.S., engineer John Walter Christie designed a four-tonne self-propelled flying tank that could be used with a pair of wings.

6.  Dymaxion: The Minivan That Might Have Been

The Dymaxion car was designed by Buckminster Fuller in the early 1930s. The car featured highly innovative, and ultimately influential, features compared with the common car of the day including: a three wheel design with rear wheel steering and front wheel drive, a longer body (20 feet), and a highly aerodynamic design. Success of the design was realized in its performance efficiencies: the car could transport up to 11 passengers, reach speeds of up to 90 miles per hour, and ran 30 miles per gallon.

7.  Ashoka Pillar

The Iron Pillar located in Delhi, India, is a 7 m (23 ft) column in the Qutb complex, notable for the rust-resistant composition of the metals used in its construction.

The pillar has attracted the attention of archaeologists and material scientists and has been called “a testament to the skill of ancient Indian blacksmiths” because of its high resistance to corrosion. The corrosion resistance results from an even layer of crystalline iron hydrogen phosphate forming on the high phosphorus content iron, which serves to protect it from the effects of the local Delhi climate.

8.  Egypt

The Great Pyramid is the most substantial ancient structure in the world – and the most mysterious

Now physicists have come up with a two word answer after years of calculations – ‘wet sand’.

Dutch researchers have figured out the Egyptians placed heavy objects on a sledge, pulled by hundreds of workers, and simply poured water on the sand in front of it.

Now we know how great were our ancestors and it is our responsibility to take this legacy forward.
