On the eve of Holi, many might not stop gulping down a few glasses of bhang. The drink which is exclusively made for the festive day, bhang is made from the leaves and buds of the cannabis plant and its intake can leave you in a ‘different state of mind’. Plus, it leaves a bad hangover which can be moderate or severe too.

Plus, it leaves a bad hangover which can be moderate or severe too. So, if you drank down more than glassful of bhang, here are few tips to overcome the bhang hangover:

Lemon water
By having a glass of lemon water or juice, be sure to ward of the hangover caused by bhang. When the body is in dire straits for dehydration, lemon water restores the salts back into the body. Its an excellent source of anti-oxidants and vitamin C that prevents the formation of free radicals.

Herbal tea
After drinking bhang, one might get severe headache. To prevent this, a cup of herbal tea will be just fine. Herbal tea are low on caffeine and high in anti-oxidants.

Warm bath
By having a lukewarm water bath can be useful too as it helps in soothing nerves and gives relief from headaches. It will get rid of the bhang hangover as soon as possible.

Avoid painkillers
If you had an excess of bhang, the headaches caused by it can be a problem. So when in pain, its best avoidable to use an aspirin or take any medical help as it will worsen more.

Take a walk
Another option to avoid the bhang hangover is by taking a walk in the open. Get up and just hop onto the shoes and enjoy a walk on the beach.

Increase fibre foods
By having a light salad such as vegetables or fruit is also a best option to avoid the bhang hangover.

No one is stopping you from having a glass of bhang but make sure, if its more than two, these are the tips to follow to avoid a visit to the doctor.
