It seems Virat Kohli has taken a learning after all! The Indian batting star is in a middle of a woeful batting form and with that, saw our ‘Master Blaster’ come forward and help the Delhi lad.
According to a report in a published newspaper, Virat Kohli is currently in Mumbai batting in the nets under the watchful eyes of Sachin Tendulkar and trying to eliminate the flaws that hit the former in England. Virat failed to hit the purple patch on the English shores where James Anderson saw the better of him in Tests and ODIs.
So what will Sachin teach his ‘pupil’ Virat Kohli? These 5 lessons Virat can learn from our Indian batting legend, Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar:
Leave aside the personal life
Virat Kohli was the talk of the town for two reasons in England – dismal batting and Anushka Sharma. The Bollywood siren was accompanying Virat during the Tests and that may have created a distraction for the Delhi star. Sachin, on the other hand, was always a obedient personality and never created ruckus in personal space. Thus, it’s time Virat Kohli got some tips on ladies as well!
Change batting stance
Virat Kohli has a peculiar batting stance once he arrives on the pitch. He will flick the bat twice and then get ready to face the delivery from the bowler. Sachin might change that and ask the vice-captain to go forward on the crease and hit through the line of the ball.
Bats need a makeover!
Remember the heydays when Sachin Tendulkar used MRF bats and it became a cult amongst the young fans! Just like that, if Virat Kohli could follow the ideal footsteps of his idol then, there could be change in fortunes of the former. Who knows, Virat could even go close to the records set by the legendary Mumbai batsman.
Chanting of ‘aila’ at least twice at the crease
Who could forget Sachin Tendulkar’s iconic words from the cricketing days! Though he never went on record of saying it but often comedians mimicked the legendary batsman in their shows. If ‘SRT’ could teach those words to Virat Kohli, may the latter’s batting form could spring up a surprise!
Endorse as many brands as possible
Even though Virat Kohli is the new face in the advertising world, he might not match the standards set by Sachin Tendulkar. The ‘Master Blaster’ was at the threshold of some epic advertisements over the years and endorsed some high class brands. May be, it’s time for Virat to get some tips.
With the tour to Australia and the World Cup on the horizon, it’s time Virat Kohli upped the ante and took some lessons from none other than the maestro himself!
