Former champions England take on New Zealand in this Group 1 pool game. The Kiwis have an exciting bunch of players who can hit the ball out of the park but the English cannot be underestimated. Here are our some of the key players to watch out from either sides that can set the stage alive:

New Zealand

Brendon McCullum
The Kiwi skipper is the leading run-scorer in the T20 internationals and could be the game changer in this decisive game. Brendon McCullum who is known for his big hitting, could be the number one target as far as the English bowlers are concerned.

Corey Anderson
The southpaw who can also bowl – Corey Anderson is another swashbuckling player in the New Zealand line-up. The all-rounder, who was snapped up by the Mumbai Indians in the recently held IPL 2014 auctions, will be the man to watch in this year’s WT20.

Ross Taylor
The former Kiwi skipper, Ross Taylor still remains one of T20s finest batsman. His stroke making is enough for the bowlers to revise their plans. Ross is one of the few Kiwi batsmen who is known to attack spin well and remains one of the key players going into this contest against England.

England

Michael Lumb
England might not have the ranks of Kevin Pietersen amongst them anymore but Michael Lumb can fill in that void. The left-handed batsman is in a good form off late and also cracked up a well made 63 against India in the warm-up match. If Lumb delivers a blistering start, England will be right amongst the scheme of things.

Stuart Broad
The skipper must lead from the front, Stuart Broad who is in charge of the T20 side, must call upon all his experience to deliver the goods if the Poms are to succeed in this T20 World Cup. Even though his troops are not the ‘favourites’ for this tie, Broad must bowl well and must tell the same for his players.

Eoin Morgan
The English middle-order will highly rely on Eoin Morgan to deliver the goods. With his wealth of knowledge in the Indian Premier League, Morgan knows how to survive on the sub-continent pitches and this can be handy for Broad and his merry men.

Even though the Kiwis have big names in their ranks, never underestimate the English. The toss will be quite handy today and with the dew factor coming into play, the side batting second can take an advantage.
