As the 2011 champions of the coveted CLT20 and the current IPL champs, we take a look at the highly rated Mumbai Indians and view their chances in the tournament:

Strengths:
The batting and the bowling still remain their best strength. With the likes of Rohit Sharma, Kieron Pollard, Dwayne Smith and the million dollar player Glenn Maxwell, the team looks rather sorted. Also not to forget, the soon-to-be-retired Sachin Tendulkar plays his last tournament as a Mumbai Indian. Will he spin some epic magic as a parting shot? The bowling too is a class act with Aussie pacer Mitchell Johnson leading the attack. He will be well supported by spinner duo of Pragyan Ojha and Harbhajan Singh.

Weaknesses:
The absence of strike bowler, Lasith Malinga will hurt them a lot. The man who led them in their victorious campaign in 2011 is out with an injury so that puts quite a bit of pressure on Mitchell Johnson. Sachin too has not picked up his bat and was also not amongst the run-getters in the last IPL.

Our take:
With the current lot, Mumbai Indians can make it to the Finals if they bowl and bat well. Selecting the right eleven will be a headache for Rohit and co. but with the experience of Sachin and his calm and composed nature, it will sure have an effect on the team.
