You must be wondering why I am creating such a scenario in the first place. Well, Ms Padukone has expressed her desire to work as an AD in Zoya Akhtar’s next as she is simply blown away by the script of the director’s new movie Dil Dhadakne Do. The film also stars Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma, Priyanka Chopra and Farhan Akhar. Now this news of DP being extremely impressed by the story is sounding like utter hogwash to me. You know what; the real reason for DP wanting to work for Zoya’s film could be because she suddenly wants to keep a tab on her restless lover boy Ranveer Singh. Since Singh is all set to share screen space with ex-girlfriend Anushka Sharma after a long time, that must have made DP slightly uneasy and for the lack of a better word a li’l ‘insecure’ too.
Well, I don’t know if Padukone can manage to meet the hectic demands of the job and keep pace with those fast gruelling hours, but it will be quite a breath of fresh air to be on the other side of the table, rather than chilling in the air-conditioned vanity van.
It’s like killing two birds with one stone – she can learn a lot while she’s on the job, sticking her nose to the grindstone and she can also spend quality time with Ranveer as and when the two get a minute or two to catch a breath. Now that sounds cute, doesn’t it?
