We talk about the Salman Khan’s record of sorts with his movie, Kick becoming the seventh movie in a row to enter the Rs. 100 crore club! He also announced that his charitable organization will sponsor treatment of 100 children.
Salman Khan has a big wallet and bigger heart!
This was proved yesterday during the festivities of Eid.
It was actually a double celebration day for Sallu bhai.
Not only he celebrated Eid with his family and friends, it also marked the successful entry of his latest release, Kick, in the coveted Rs. 100 crore club!
Not a mean achievement given that it is his seventh consecutive film to hit the bull’s eye on box-office. It is actually a record of sorts for Salman to be the only Bollywood actor to have seven films in a row to cross the magical figure of Rs. 100 crore!
There are many actors whose films have crossed that milestone like Akshay Kumar with his latest Holiday, Aamir Khan with his 3 Idiots and Ghajini, Shahrukh Khan with Chennai Express, but none of them have been able to rule the hearts of audiences like apna Salman!
Even the worst movie of his which was critically as well as commercially panned all across, Jai Ho, ended up earning more than Rs. 126 crores in its total lifetime. His successful run on the box-office is really mind-boggling. This sprint of giving one hit after another actually started from Dabangg in the year 2010. It was followed by Ready and Bodyguard, both of which crossed Rs. 100 crore mark pretty easily. Then came Ek Tha Tiger opposite his ex-lady love Katrina Kaif and created waves at the box-office by making more than Rs. 300 crores! After that Salman helped his brother Arbaaz Khan don the director’s hat for Dabangg 2 and gave the industry another director with a 100 crore movie in his kitty! It was followed by his younger brother Sohail Khan’s Jai ho and now he has wowed his fans with Kick!
With so much of success and happiness in his life, Salman is still grounded and his usual generous self!
To prove this, he announced a special package for needy kids. He tweeted that his charity organization Being Human will be helping in providing free treatment to 100 needy children with heart ailments! He tweeted about the same saying, ‘If any kids on FB ya twitter who has a heart condition n can’t afford to get it treated, BH vil (will) get 100 genuine patients treated’. This is phenomenal given that it is actually trying to help someone rather than doing just the lip-service of charity.
We truly appreciate this gesture of his as in our country where medical services for the poor are in shambles, this small token of help will go a long way in bringing a ray of hope in the life of those families who actually need it.
On his behalf, we would also request you to share Being Human’s email id where the needy can contact directly. It is: [email protected]
We wish Salman more and more success so that he is able to continue his good deeds. We need more of such large-hearted people in our country!
