The actor, in association with stand-up comedy group AIB has come up with a satirical video, which mocks Supreme Court’s decision of criminalizing gay sex (sec 377). The video is sure to give you the uncontrollable giggles in which Imran tackles questions from a bunch of ignorant people, who think being gay is some kind of a disease. The actor is seen bringing his sarcastic self to the fore while dealing with some of these ‘self-appointed moral policemen’. People have vague ideas about homosexuals, and the worst part is they don’t even bother to clear their misconceptions. That’s what the video highlights – ranging from ‘how do gay people have coffee’ to ‘will they have sex after criminalization?’ Imran deals with heights of stupidity.
When asked, why the actor is being so supportive towards this cause, is he gay too? Imran shot back by saying that he also supports animal welfare, now does that make him a dolphin?
The actor raises a very valid point in the video. While people think that it’s okay to do whatever gays want to do behind closed doors, the video is trying to drive home the idea that it is not about sex solely, it’s also about human rights and everyone has the right to lead a peaceful life without prejudices.
