Rajkumar Yadav is in the news right now for being kicked out of NH10 – a joint venture between Anushka Sharma and director Navdeep Singh. The actor was finalised for the project and everything was in place until Ms Sharma got on board as a co-producer. As per our super sleuths the Band Baaja Baarat babe showed Yadav the exit door ‘coz she didn’t want him to be a part of the film.
When I spoke to the Kai Po Che actor in the not so recent past, he was visibly excited to be associated with NH10. He had said, “The film is a love story with a twist. The script is really good. Working on this project is going to be quite a learning experience.” But looks like things weren’t meant to go his way. We got in touch with Yadav again and asked him if the whole episode disappointed him and what’s his reaction to all this? And he answered in his usual humble style, “I honestly don’t know what went wrong. Also I didn’t sign the film officially. But right now I am busy preparing for my next flick with Fox studios and Vishesh films titled City Lights.” So no hard feelings for anybody? “No, not really, I have great respect for Navdeep Singh.”
Well such is life in the world of glitter and glamour, some gain while the others suffer in pain. The recent development is that Ms Sharma and the makers of NH10 are scouting for fresh faces for this road trip film. TV actor Neil Bhoopalam who is currently a part of 24 may be considered but again things are pretty uncertain as of now.
We wonder who is it that will finally manage to match Ms Sharma’s super high standards! Any interesting takers?
