Vidya Balan is a sensational actor who has established herself as a successful actor in B-town.
In spite of being criticized by some film critics for her acting skills and fashion police for her dressing sense, she has emerged victorious and shut the mouth of all her haters.
She started off her acting career at an early age with a sitcom Hum Paanch and also featured in some TV commercials and music videos.
She made her acting debut in a Bengali drama Bhalo Theko and from then onwards, there was no turning back for this starlet.
She has emerged victorious with a number of awards to her credit.
So what gets this beauty ticking?
She is known for being at the forefront of bringing about a change in Indian cinema. Working in films like Paa, Ishqiya, No One Killed Jessica, The Dirty Picture, Kahaani, etc, she has broken the stereotype of a typical Hindi film actor and plays strong female protagonist roles.
BELIEVE IN YOURSELF
She doesn’t bother about the critics have to say and continues to do what she loves to. Although, there are many in the industry who haven’t accepted the kind of roles she chooses, yet she continues to take up the role and deliver her amazing acting skills. She believes that if men could grab lots of bucks in the industry, why not a woman? Yes, she has proved it time and again.
Although there are tremendous number of fashion police trying to pull her down, she finds comfort in her own skin and has brought back the era of the traditional Indian outfit – the saree. She has never tried to copy any of her contemporaries and this sets her apart from the rest.
DOESN’T GIVE A DAMN
Although there are industry insiders who talk about the starlet and her stance in the industry, she doesn’t bother and continues to shine in her own work. She has never been a part of controversies and continues to be the reigning queen of B-town although some might disagree.
Her acting skills are par excellence and she has proved it with every passing film. She can don a role of a mother, a film star, an undercover agent, a radio jockey, with ease and bag several awards, namely- 5 Filmfare, a National Film and now the highest prestigious award, the Padma Shri. Her success also led her to be a part of the jury at the 66th Cannes Film Festival.
But if you ask me, she has emerged as a selling point for most directors and production houses and she will continue to reign over Bollywood in her own unique way and style!
