Straight hair is lovely to have as it makes any hairstyle pop. And let’s face, it’s what every girl dreams of! Silky, smooth and straight tresses that are easy to manage and absolutely stunning to flaunt. But how does one take care of chemically-treated straightened hair? Here’s how.

Thorough rinsing:
Make sure that you rinse off the last bit of shampoo off your hair as any residue can get stuck to freshly straightened hair. Use a mild shampoo that’s made for chemically-treated hair and condition it with a hair-specific conditioner.

Egg and curd regime:
The constant use of a flat iron can make your hair brittle and dry. Get a egg and curd hair mask for your scalp every week to keep your hair nourished and shiny. You can use yogurt/egg yolk as a conditioner post your every wash too.

No other chemicals:
Since your hair is already dealing with high amount of chemicals, do not use any other damaging product on them. Skip your regular colour touches, blow drying sessions and other harmful styling products.

Natural dry:
It’s better to let your hair dry naturally as constant use of the dryer can make your hair lose its sheen. You can use a light towel to remove excess water from your hair, before letting them air-dry.

Wearing a scarf:
It’s important to hide you hair behind a protective veal while stepping out into the dirt. Especially, if you have chemically-straightened your hair. As the UV rays and pollution can wreak havoc with your hair for sure.
