Mumbai: Walking Through T2

Mumbai has another feather in its cap. This one sure will garner international eye balls. Have a look at city’s smashing international terminal T2.

Mumbai’s current international airport has literally noting to talk about. In fact, it is most often talked about for being so dull and ill managed. While it in fact is one of country’s busiest airports, it was a shame to see it in such a state.

No longer will you have to feel this way as the city now has a sparkling new terminal T2. The terminal is an ambitious vision of GVK and boys; you have made us extremely proud.

This new terminal is 1400 acres and cost of raising this magnificent structure has been somewhere close to 12,500 crores. It can accommodate an estimated 40 million passengers annually. Across the 4 storeys the terminal has 188 check-in counters and 136 immigration counters, together for arrivals and departures.

The terminal however is an architectural delight and houses a three kilometre long art walk. The X shaped terminal takes inspiration from country’s national bird peacock. This and a 21,000 square meter shopping arcade, what more can one ask for!

Watch the below video to get tempted enough to want to fly out of this state-of-the-art airport, just about right now!
