Even quotes from Albert Einstein mentions his thoughts on the sacred book. As it says “ When I read Bhagavad Gita and reflects about how? God creates Universe. Everything else seems so superfluous”.

The knowledge of wisdom that anyone can get gain by going through it. And understand the way to lead a tactful. It was a simple way to develop the connection between science and Bhagwat Gita. Science indicates development and growth, inventions and discoveries.

Albert Einstein his inspiration

As the holy books mention the presence of eight constitutions it was after several years that Einstein spoke about the same facts. The religious scriptures and versions which develop hopes give spontaneous inspiration to lead life.

Develop the mind leading to self-discovery. When a person works on self-discovery he helps others to prosper. As per the CH-7 verse, 4 of Bhagavat Gita mentions Earth, Water, Fire, Air, Ether, Mind, Intellect and Ego.

So, it is easy to understand the connection and main objectives of science that Albert Einstein mentions is already stated in the holy book.

Main objective of science in Bhagavad Gita

Albert Einstein represents science so there is a relationship that is indirectly connected with Bhagavat Gita. Though people believe it is a religious book the facts of the universe are hidden in it.

Law of thermodynamics

What does the first law of thermodynamics states? According to the law, the energy existing on the earth cannot be destroyed and it is converted from one form to another.

Several years earlier, the Hindu scripts have already pointed about the energy which is everlasting in one form to another. And it is not only applicable to science facts but also to human nature.

Yoga for better livelihood

Modern India and the entire world believes in Yoga for a healthy body and mind. Surya namaskar is one of the popular facts that is scientifically proven as well as in holy scripts. Yoga is one of the ways to become your own leader, stay fit and free from illness. It is another way of self-discovery to improve inner battle and gain happiness.

What is the science behind good eating?

Eating should always be at peace of mind. One cannot have a good digestive system unless he or she eats on time and with the proper presence of mind. This will lead to enjoying the savour of food which is a great treat to the body and soul. The religious holy book does mention vegetarian foods which have complete nutrition.

Cosmos, the creation or origin of the universe is present in the holy book while after several years of discoveries it was proven a truth. The discoveries of the sun, moon, and other parts of the Universe is the version of Gita that was proven by science. While Einstein has the general theory of relativity on cosmology an influence from Bhagavat Gita.

Learning has become highly exciting with the practices, understandings, and scopes of availability for greater masses to know and explore. India has been practicing STEM from its ancient times and so always their underneaths an expectation to lead.

Each year focuses on the learning and implementation will help in improving in different sectors. It may for the robotics, machinery, health sectors, or space science. The various emergence based on the developments in the upcoming years can be a commendation.

Influence of STEM in Healthcare

Healthcare, one of the important sectors in India that need advancements in treatment and technologies. Greater ability of critical thinking, working and focusing on concepts of science, mathematics at the early childhood and solve complex problems.

The upcoming generation will have a greater influence to handle a mass of crowds. People lacking the approach to the preventive measures related to respiratory treatments, cardiovascular treatments, and majorly for oncology. It will enable to provide better access to the needy, support, and boost healthcare. The higher the contribution of critical thinkers to the complex greater is the expectation in development in Healthcare.

Power to early education and scope for children

Gender inequality and the financial crisis have been another major issue that many students did not opt for the STEM that was possible during higher education. Exploring the inner structures at early childhood will be effective to improve and boost their confidence to opt for the kind of subject they want. Fewer Women are found to be in the departments compared to the male working on researches and studies.

Exposure during the student age will enable the people to develop a better platform with gender equality. Long time attachment to critical thinking will boost their confidence; irrespective of the financial crisis develop intense skills for the learners. It is important to provide an equal opportunity to overcome the gaps that stand as an obstruction.

Hi-tech industrial growth

As the silicon revolution promotes India to grow in power it already shows that the requirement of the Hi-tech industry is necessary. Hereby the knowledge and learning of technology will promote the technological industry. India has a greater need to have its own empire where millions of employees depend on international companies for jobs and employment.

STEM education at an early age to the higher as a part of a career will help in innovative platforms that will be entirely independent and people will less suffer depending on the external employment supports.

Innovation and invention

Not limited to scientific practices to complex solving but it will also benefit the innovations and inventions. New minds with the capability of reasoning as well as solving will help the upcoming generations to think beyond the spacecraft and as astronomical science.

STEM has been a bold initiative to develop with the basic improvements for children from the beginning and for the long run. Best for the society, country, and progress of each new, young mind.

OSIRIS REx, NASA’s spacecraft was launched from Cape Canaveral two years back which reached its target, Asteroid Bennu, one among the 500 thousand asteroids in the space, on Monday. Scientists are aiming to collect some sample dust from the asteroid which is believed to have provided life-preserving materials to Earth for a scientific study. The study in question involves finding the probability of life in Sun.

OSIRIX REx will is likely to make five close range aping runs before landing into orbit around the asteroid towards the end of the year. An engineer at the Lockheed Martin’s Flight Control center yelled in excitement as OSIRIS REx touched the asteroid while he was watching telemetry stream in from 76 million miles away which confirmed the critical rocket landing.

The detailed insights into NASA’s mission:

Scientists are of the belief that there are primitive bodies leftovers from the birth of the solar system some 4.6 billion years ago. The OSIRIS REx closes in on a denizen of the Kuiper belt a billion miles past ‘Pluto’.

OSIRIS REX is a convoluted acronym which stands for Origins, Spectral Interpretations, Resource Identification and Security-Regolith Explorer. This spacecraft is equipped with three cameras, two spectrometers, a laser altimeter and an X-Ray imaging system which is developed by college students.

What is the process of the scientific study and what are the results scientists are looking at?

OSIRIS REx also boasts of having a ‘touch-and-go sample acquisition mechanism’ or TAGSAM at the last end of the 10 foot long Robotic arm. After a detailed mapping and rehearsal until 2020, OSIRIS REx will stretch a robotic arm to High five asteroid and push TAGSAM which resembles an inverted pie dish which will contact the surface of Bennu. In the five minutes stint, compressed nitrogen gas will shoot into the collector which will stir up and lift some of the rocked soil. The sample is likely to be measured around 4.4 pounds which will be trapped in filters for returning to the Earth.

While its way back home, OSIRIS REx will extend the robot arm to place the sample inside an aerodynamic sample capsule and OSIRIS will wait for the Earth and Bennu to return to their basic positions in the orbits to start the trip home. According to Dante Lauretta, the Principle Investigator of the whole campaign, “We can’t leave Bennu before March of 2021, just because we have got to wait for the orbital mechanics to line up”. She further added, “So that’s about two-and-a-half years of operations at the asteroid. We only touch that asteroid for that brief, five seconds sampling contact. We are going to do everything we can to make sure e get the sample on the first attempt”.

The scientists are also planning to preserve some samples which will be subjected to two years of detailed analysis.

The way magic works, when the evident is only at the surface and the working forces behind it are hidden underneath, science works exactly like that.

There are many miracles of science that are yet to be revealed. And modern science is somewhere catching up with the studies and findings of the ancient probes.

One of them talks about the hidden powers of plants that are not visible to the human eye. All we know plants can bear fruits, they can feel the touch and they can react to environment. But plants and their powers have a different ground all together.

One of the ancient sciences discovered that plants possess a form of rudimentary intelligence. They can think and remember too.

A modern provocative research paper from 2010 published in Plant Signaling & Behavior proposes that since plants cannot escape environmental stresses the way animals do, therefore they have developed a “sophisticated, highly responsive and dynamic physiology,” which includes information processes such as “biological quantum computing” and “cellular light memory” which could be described as different forms of plant intelligence.

This particular study has been titled as, “Secret Life of Plants: From Memory To Intelligence.

The study also highlights one particular “super power” of plants indicative of their success as intelligent beings. It also proposes certain observations to support their findings. Where they pointed out that there are some species of plants and trees that germinated naturally before Christ, but they continue to grow in the same places even after hundreds and thousands of years. What gives them the wisdom to choose the same place and the understanding that they can survive in that environment only?

Well, researchers say that the plants work as computing devices! Yes, it is shocking but it is true as per science. They have the capability to store information and they can be devised as biological quantum computing machines. This gives them the ability to process the information encrypted in light intensity and the energy that they absorb from it. They use the spectral composition of light and absorb This is how they store or memorize the information and make it available for reprocessing as and when needed.

So basically, the crux of the study is that “Plants can actually think and remember”

Amazing isn’t it?

We stop questioning such rituals and blindly follow them. Are those superstitions just an act of belief or is there a scientific truth to any of them?

We analyse some of the most common superstitions and share with you, the scientific rationale, if any, behind them.

1) Don’t Cut Nails/Hair On Saturdays And At Night

Our ancestors had kept specific days for specific things to do to live a more organised life and in their “Muhurat” based timetable, Saturday was not kept for cutting hair or nails. Over a period of time, it simply became an inauspicious activity out of laziness as no one wanted to go into real reasons! As far as cutting them at night is concerned, it’s only because in earlier days there were no good sources of lighting at night, they wanted to prevent injuries by using sharp tools for grooming purposes!

2) Keep A Knife Or Sharp Object Under Pillow

The whole idea was to sleep in peace with an assurance that one had means to safety in case of an emergency, but it has got a real bad twist. Warning: Blindly following this superstition can cause self-injuries in case you have a habit of pushing your head under the pillow in deep sleep!

3) No Sweeping Of Home In The Evening Or Goddess Lakshmi Won’t Visit You

Again, this practice has its roots in, not having electricity in olden days, so the fear was that something valuable(Lakshmi) might be swept off as garbage in the dark of night. Of course, connecting it with Lakshmi and loss of wealth was to ensure the practice continued without interruptions!

4) Eat Curd And Sugar Before Heading Out For Good Luck

There is sound science behind this superstition. Curd makes stomach cool so when venturing out in a tropical country like ours, it helps to have a calm stomach. Sugar gives instant energy which is required to accomplish the task one is going out for. Associating it with good luck just makes everyone follow it compulsorily.

5) Applying Cow Dung On Floor Is Auspicious

In the historical times, it made sense to apply cow dung in mud houses people used to live in since it worked as a disinfectant. In today’s times, try applying it in your white marble floors at home or in your smooth office floor and you’ll realise any disinfectant bought from a local kirana shop works better!

6) Swallow Tulsi Leaf, Never Chew It

Yes, Tulsi is considered Goddess Lakshmi’s avatar and that’s why it is said not chew its leaves to avoid disrespect. However, real reason is that Tulsi contains a bit of arsenic and chewing its leaves leads to yellowing of teeth or degradation of enamel. So it is actually to maintain glittering smile more than anything else!

7) Applying Kajal To Avoid Buri Nazar

In earlier days Kajal/kohl was made at home by burning natural oils and was considered good for eyes. But it lead to itching and was messy so elders used the idea of buri nazar so that kids applied it out of fear. However, nowadays there is no such need! Also, kajal available in cosmetic stores today has paraffin etc which is toxic for skin and seriously dangerous for infants or kids eyes and skin! Another logic used was that black skinned people can’t be hypnotised so even magicians in earlier days used to advice people not to wear black clothes when attending their shows. This became a superstition and kids were smeared with kajal to save them from buri nazar!

We hope some of the confusions related to superstitions are cleared by now. Let’s not follow the rituals and beliefs just because they are passed on to you by generations, instead seek clarity and do only what makes sense and has a scientific logic behind it!
