A whole life just passes in front of your eyes seeking perfection or wishing for perfection before you decide to enjoy that life. What a waste, right?

This happens with many of us who want everything to be perfect and go to any lengths to make things perfect.

However, what we forget is there is nothing called “perfect” in life!

Yes, nothing!!

Perfection means end of the journey, it means there is nothing more to do, nothing more to achieve, nothing more to look forward to. And it is so so boring to reach that stage! Life is dynamic and not static. It works only when it’s moving, otherwise a still life is like still water: stale, dirty, lifeless and not good for any use!

This is not to say that you don’t strive for it. Yes, do go for it, but on the way, don’t forget to enjoy life, the small moments which make life worthwhile. At work you may never achieve perfection, but your urge to do so will anyways help you to excel in your job, gain admirers and followers and some amazing colleagues and friends. Your spouse can never be perfect as he/she is a human being first of all more than a robot that can be tuned in to perform life-functions as per a pre-determined manner. And you as a spouse are going to be the same! Marriage is a roller-coaster ride that can never achieve the highs of bliss, neither it will always remain in the dumps if you keep making efforts to work around it in the most innovative and genuine manner.

Once you accept the limitations of human life, you will be more at peace with yourself and that will show in life around you and within you. Accepting circumstances, people around you and situations arising of others’ actions is the first step towards living a happy life.

To attain perfection you have to continuously keep on improving and there is no end to improvement in life!

There is always that little bit teeny-weeny scope for improvement in every aspect, which will remain no matter how hard you try. You achieve six-packs abs, you want to go for 8-packs and then the next stage is to maintain them and it is a continuous process.

You achieve a score of 9.9 at work in appraisals, 0.1 will still elude you and if you overwork for it or over stress yourself, next time it might reduce from those levels.

You want your spouse to talk, work, behave in a certain way, but being a human being, spouse is not going to be exactly the same way all the time! So things will keep changing, for good and bad and you have to accept them.

Stop chasing perfection like a maniac, but just give your best to everything in life and enjoy it to the fullest!

Well, I would say that rather than just running after shallow bodybuilders and cute faces, we need to look up to such people who are determined to BE THE CHANGE, rather than just asking for it. He is undoubtedly doing a laudable job, knowing well that the profession that he is in, he has far greater chances of being heard far and wide.
