The trip to Kailash Mansarovar starts from New Delhi and then it turns into a pedestrian journey from the spiritual site Narayan Ashram, Dharchula, Pitthorgarh District.

The walkway of Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is considered to be extremely unhurried. From Narayan Ashram to Indo-Tibet border Lipulekh, the passengers have to reach 6 levels. Passing alongside the vast Kali river this journey from the skyscraper mountains includes waterfalls, panoramic views and horrific trench. It is the place where you meet the purest form of nature, it seems so dangerous to hear but instead of scaring the people the place excites the devotees. The horrifying pathways don’t scare the Devotees instead keep the refreshed so that they can carry forward the desire to visit Kailash Mansarovar.

When the devotees reach to Kumaon hills, they start feeling the grace of Lord Shiva in the atmosphere. The devotees have to go through various place during their journey such as Baijnath, Bagnath, Patal Bhubaneswar. People often presume that this trip will be very tiring, but once the journey starts they get infused with the infinite energy of reverence.

In Tibet, the eternal orbits of Kailash Mansarovar start from Taklakot and the journey covers the 26km area of Tibet. During this long journey, a person gets to see 4 different views of Kailash mountain. From the place called Darafu, the southern part of Kailash is visible. It is said that here people forget themselves in front of that divine beauty and tears automatically comes out their eyes.

The magical thing is that this long journey doesn’t make the devotees feel tired instead they feel extremely positive vibes around them. They feel like they have achieved everything in their life.

The journey of Kailash Mansarovar has been happening since ancient times.

There were no restrictions on this journey before the Indo-China 1962 war. In the past, the rulers of the Ascot Pal Dynasty used to support the journey and its operation. They used to make arrangements for their stay. But earlier the journey was full of various natural hurdles and people had to travel on foot.

Today, travel has become more convenient than before and we have various facilities that have made the journey much easier. Presently Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is operated by the Government of India. Every year, the government allows sixteen groups of devotees to travel.

Each group comprises maximum 60 passengers.
