Anti-microbial reusable masks are launched by Nanosafe Solutions, an IIT- Startup company. The initiative is taken to reduce the crisis of PPE equipment, has the property of bacterial filtration efficiency. The fabric used for the preparation of a mask can resist the penetration of the bacteria, which can fulfill some margin of mask crisis. The onset of the pandemic has led to an increase in the demand for masks to protect the large mass of the population from the attack of COVID -19. 

Mainly this is contrived to meet up the costs, affordable face reusable masks, that can take the round of laundry 50 times. The masks washing several times enables us to use it, again and again, makes it less expensive compared to other masks. The anti-bacterial mask and washable property have made it one of the matchless creations. 

Reuseable Masks with 3-micron antibacterial efficiency

New reusable masks that are an effort to produce a successful production the Nsafe mask ensures the bacterial filtration efficiency to 99.2 percent which is equal to 3 microns. Most of the masks for common people demand a breathable, these masks conform to the ASTM standards. The company ensures the mask to be comfortable and breathable.

CEO & Founder of the company, IIT Delhi alumnus Dr. Anasuya Roy and Professor Magolia Joshi, from the department of textile and fiber engineering, IIT Delhi. According to them, this mask is the first reusable mask in India with antibacterial filtration. 

Three Layered filtered masks 

The efficiency of the masks can be assumed undeniably, three layers that contain the antimicrobial filtration mid-layer, the outer layer has the oil-repellent and water properties and the inner layer consists of the hydrophilic layer for comfort. 

• The hydrophilic layer of the masks enables to stop the droplets to be absorbed by the outer layer. So, when a person coughing or sneezing it will be absorbed by the hydrophilic or inner layer while the person sneezes. This will stop the Covid-19 carrier to spread further, the fabric properties can be compared to simple fabric that we use is of so-called ‘Gamcha’, that we Indians use to dry cloth acts like a towel after taking shower. 
• The outer layer is also known as a hydrophobic layer that resists water or oil from entering inside the inner layer. It is the polypropylene layer that absorbs the droplets outside and does not allows the water to enter inside. 
• The middle layer of the reusable masks is always awaken, that stops the droplets at the layer itself. Similarly, the external surface of the masks absorbs the droplets but the mid-layer which acts as an anti-microbial filtration layer. 

Covid-19 positive cases are increasing, in order to control the rapid widespread of the disease few initial guidelines and protective measures are necessary. After the withdrawal of the Lockdown, India has high chances to see a steep rise in positive cases. Affordable and reusable masks including effective sanitary implementation and social distancing can control the spread. Responsibility of the citizen increases to maintain the guidelines to be provided by the government of India and the Healthcare department.

Coronavirus has turned to become a pandemic, a global epidemic that had its epicenter in Wuhan.  While stepping in 2020 the pandemic captured the entire part of the world.  How did lockdown help people against coronavirus?

 Lockdown has enabled the reduction of unnecessary contact or communication between humans. This will stop the widespread of COVID -19. Coronavirus spreads through formites and human contacts to an infected person.

In a few cases, the person infected did not show any symptoms and unknowingly spreads the infection. The process is fast and this has the capacity to infect more than two people at once.

 The rapid and uncontrollable factor is ascertained by the lockdown implemented in the country. While China was able to overcome the crisis finally New York in US has become the epicenter of coronavirus. Three states in the US are entirely locked down in order to control the epidemic epicenter of COVID-19.  This was the gist of lockdown in different countries while India is following the same footsteps to defeat the disease.

 The lockdown has allowed families to stay together. Schools, colleges and offices are all under the phases of lockdown. Parents and kids, brothers and sisters all have found the opportunity to spend time with each other.  Due to the busy schedules of children and parents, it was difficult for them to spend quality time but this lockdown has added some spice in their families.

 Differences are bound to be sorted out amongst the couples as not a single person can move out of their house to spend time in the office or with friends. Finally, couples are working to adjust and work on their relationship. Relationships are growing stronger during a hard time.

 Homemade food is the best part of the lockdown that the families are enjoying, enough time to spend on hobbies that were buried due to the tight schedules. Above all, now your neighbours turn to be your good friends. You may not know your neighbour but now you spend hours talking to your next door.

 Online activities have increased to a far extent, people are sharing music, tutorials of food and different funny videos are seen that social media holders are enjoying. People are stress-free to a far extent.  As good times are seen due to coronavirus a few hard times are also experienced as people who are sick and unhealthy are unable to access medical treatments. Diabetic patients, surgical procedure or other critical disease treatment are on halt for the time being unless the epidemic of coronavirus is over in 2020
