With 70% of stadium tickets bought by Indians, Australia captain Michael Clarke was forced to send out an SOS Tweet to his fellow countrymen for support.

I call on all Australian cricket lovers to paint the SCG gold on Thursday. We need your support. #goldout

— Michael Clarke (@MClarke23) March 20, 2015

Former Australian pace bowler Brett Lee believes that the hosts will outperform the Asian team, in the process setting up the final clash against New Zealand.

However, with the Indian fans painting the Sydney Cricket Ground blue, MS Dhoni and his men will get the much-needed motivation to beat Australia in its own backyard. Rohit Sharma appeared confident before this important clash, as he spoke to the media, “Of course we can win, no question about it. We know how to play big games. Spinners have been vital, responsibility will be on openers.”

India will rely on its openers Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan for a steady start, making batting simpler for the middle-order batsmen including Virat Kohli and Suresh Raina.

Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan’s opening partnership will be crucial

Australia, on the other hand, would be confident playing at home and try hard to get one step closer to winning their fifth World Cup.

The Aussies bowling spearhead Mitchell Johnson has vowed to sledge Indian batsmen at the SCG tomorrow. The audience at the ground and the one watching from home can anticipate a few verbal spats between players of the two squads.

Mitchell Johnson said he would take up sledging against Indian players

It was the recently concluded tri-series when Australian opening batsman David Warner engaged in a verbal duel with India’s Rohit Sharma during an ODI match, for which he was penalised by the ICC. The outcome of it was Warner keeping out of any kind of heated verbal interacting with his opponents. This was when Mitchell Johnson put his hand up saying he won’t withhold from exchanging heated words.

India, too, are said to be fine with sledging during the match, but vowed to not cross the line.

Former Australian pace bowler Stuart Clarke has predicted Ravichandran Ashwin as being the most difficult man to tackle for Australia in tomorrow’s bout against India.

Ravichandran Ashwin’s 10 overs against Australia would be crucial

After its win against Bangladesh in the quarter-finals, India successfully managed to bowl out an opponent for the seventh consecutive match. Indian bowlers would be looking to take the tally to number eight tomorrow against one of their bitter rivals.

The Australian opening pair of Aaron Finch and David Warner has not performed at its best potential, which would be a plus side for India. Nevertheless, their middle-order batting has risen to the occasion whenever needed and getting them out would be the key.

Australian opening partnership of Aaron Finch and David Warner has not really clicked

India’s pace attack comprising Mohit Sharma, Umesh Yadav and Mohammed Shami possess the ability to get ten wickets and they have shown it in the prior seven occasions. Knowing whether they would be able to repeat the feat tomorrow will have to wait.

Though Australia, as hosts and a much superior team as compared to India, looks likely to win this match, India will definitely put up a strong fight and hope to retain the World Cup for the first time.

Yes if you are still not following her on Twitter then seriously you are missing some real doze of entertainment. Well I am not a very big fan of her twins on #TittyTuesdays but seriously flummoxed at the level to which a person can go to seek attention.

Good afternoon from the Twins and I…. #TittyTuesday …Stay Tuned from my contribution to TITTY TUESDAY!! pic.twitter.com/RDTTg4sMCL

— Poonam Pandey (@iPoonampandey) February 10, 2015

When I read that line about her contribution to ‘Titty Tuesday’ I was aghast. Seriously cheapness at its heights!! I so want to ask her what are the names of her “twins”….Karan-Arjun?

She is so much in the news of baring it all that when she puts on clothes she actually has to update people that it isn’t a fake profile.

Just because am wearing Full Clothes..
does not mean it's a Fake Picture!! pic.twitter.com/EYdJLkD6kv

Oh yes she was very much in the news back in 2011 when India won the World Cup. She had received media attention as she promised to strip naked if India won. However as per reports BCCI played spoilsport and didn’t allow the stripping to happen even though India won the Cup.

She bore all though after Kolkata Knight Riders won.

This year the hashtag #ThisWorldCupPoonamPandeyWill became a big trending topic.

Hahaha..Your Funny Tweets are reminding Me my Promise During the WorldCup 2011#ThisWorldCupPoonamPandeyWill pic.twitter.com/aDDH5bwd7A

If not acting she at least has a wonderful career option in cheer leading. Wonder if this is how you cheer for your favorite team…well who am I to judge?

Anyways this is how she has been cheering India…

She has a fetish of taking extreme close up selfies of her assets

https://twitter.com/iPoonampandey/status/573340488029229056

Oops was that disappointing, well then here it is her bed time selfie:

https://twitter.com/iPoonampandey/status/575002257114038272

Seriously it doesn’t matter if it’s in the bed or not but this selfie is definitely a bad selfie. What is the psyche of such people? What does she even want to convey? Is she the only girl with b**bs?

He also made it clear that the photo was more a part of a marketing gimmick than him expressing his favouritism towards India during the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup.

“It was more of a Nike thing to be quite honest,” said the 17-time Grand Slam champion before the commencement of Dubai Open.

The picture in question has Roger Federer holding an Indian team jersey with the caption reading “Dressing up for a Gentleman’s game today. #BleedBlue”.

Meanwhile, Nike decided to upload the same picture on its Twitter page, too.

https://twitter.com/nikecricket/status/566890488548950016

On any other day, this photo would appear comparatively harmless, but not during the World Cup.

The Pakistani fans are said to be dejected the most, who admire Roger’s skills on the tennis court. One supporter even went to the lengths of deleting all his pictures of Federer and is said to have taken an online poll in which 10 out of 12 Pakistanis felt betrayed.

The entire controversy even forced the 33-year-old to reveal the team he supports – South Africa.

“I support South Africa, and everybody knows that. The idea wasn’t to spark any fire.” Everyone, who has kept a track of Federer’s life, knows that his mother Lynette is from South Africa. Moreover, the Swiss ace has also supported the disadvantaged children in South Africa through the Roger Federer Foundation.

The current World No. 2 also said that he supports India “a little bit”.

When asked if he follows cricket, Federer said that depends on which part of the world he is in at that moment.

What say Indian Cricket Fans?

Well, it seems like India is living up to the “Won’t give it back” tag-line for their bid in this World cup to retain their title as the reigning champions. They beat Pakistan with a thumping victory with 50+ runs to spare in their highly anticipated epic clash. India still holds bragging rights of beating Pakistan 6-0 in World Cup history.

However, yesterday’s match between India and Pakistan, sworn arch-rivals, proves one thing for sure India has a few chinks in the armour which it definitely needs to sort out in order to progress further till the final match! Pakistan’s batting order lost the match for them; however, their bowling was at par.

India Pakistan Match WC 2015

Match Overview

If you had closely watched and analysed yesterday’s match with an unbiased opinion you would have noticed one thing that Pakistan didn’t play very badly in the beginning, their middle order batsmen fell like a set of dominoes once the top order succumbed to Shami and Yadav’s bowling attack.

Dhawan and Kohli’s hard-hitting knocks gave India the win. India’s luck, previous edge against Pakistan of the 5-0 wins in World Cups and brilliant match awareness pitted the match in their favour that’s all.

Pakistan’s side isn’t as formidable as their previous World Cup squads, but if they can better yesterday’s performance, they can go far!

If we take a jab at the match from an analytical angle, we can surely point out what went right and wrong for both teams… neither of them was perfect.

India’s Misses

Shikhar Dhawan could have had a century, but Kohli’s miscalculation, stupidity and aggressiveness claimed yet another victim. No wonder everyone calls him a hot-head!

Kohli did get into a spat with a few Pakistan players on-field during Pakistan’s batting; he should avoid being fined for replying back to their sledging. Remember Kohli we don’t reply to snide remarks, we stay smug, try being like your diva girlfriend, Anushka for once!

Dhoni was seemingly angry with Umesh Yadav and Mohammed Shami for bowling senseless Wide balls; he simply can’t remain ‘captain cool’ all the time. Both these bowlers need to hit the right line and length rather than trying too hard and gloating after getting a wicket.

India’s fielding was a little sloppy, there was a dropped catch and Dhawan almost dropped Shehzad’s wicket but was lucky enough to cup the ball in his hands after a second attempt. Remember guys, the ball isn’t a ball of fire!

India’s Hits

Do we need to say anything about the senseless speculation that we Indians do?

Most people were doubting Dhawan’s form due to his recent performance and most of us didn’t want him in the final XI, but he as cool as he looks; he silenced all speculation and mistrust with an impeccable 73 out of 76 balls. Dho dala!

India’s bowling bettered during the last half of the game and our bowlers slurped the Pakistani batsmen like we slurp a single noodle strand for fun! 4 Pakistan wickets fell faster than our Mufflerman Kejriwal can lift his finger to organize a dharna!

Virat Kolhi’s rambunxious, eye-popping, unrelenting, undaunting and every other ‘–ting’ kind of super batting performance helped India put up a respectable score on the board. He was declared ‘Man of the Match’ too.

Pakistan’s Misses

Dear Pakistan, it was a 50-over game and not a Twenty20 match, you lost wickets like you were playing the latter match! Kids in my street hold better at their positions than you do!

Having a freakishly tall bowler like Mohammed Ifran did scare our batsmen but we didn’t succumb to his height! He needs to bowl better to match our stalwarts like Kohli, Raina, Dhawan and Dhoni!

Shahid Afridi, bro, grow up! Your dismissals are like a horror movie script now – extremely predictable! You have been getting out the same way since eternity… even we can use chopsticks now after years of practice, why can’t you stop getting dismissed in the most embarrassing way over?

Pakistan’s Hits

Sohail Khan’s brilliant 5 Wickets are the only thing that shook India. India, learn something from him. A player can be as dangerous when returns to ODIs after a long time.

Misbah-Ul-Haq – His name his enough to show how intrinsic he is to the Pakistan side. Without him and Afridi the entire team was grappling for runs like a person trying to swat flies!

Wahab Riaz can be devastating for the opponent if backed by a good partner. All other teams need to watch out for him! He is a Kohli from the other side of the border!

Tweet Centre

A few tweets posted on twitter to limber you up:

*30 years later* Emotional Akmal’s son: “Papa is glove se catch chhora karte the” #INDvPAK – cricBC @cricBC

All in all, yesterday’s match was an exciting one to witness amidst all the hits and misses! India and Pakistan need to learn from their mistakes and better their plus points.

If India wants to bring back its ‘dulhan’ home, they need to keep this form alive!

Bowling needs to be better, much better than this!
