Recently unveiled at a press conference, the new Acer Icoconia Tab 7 is a stunning device which smartly combines the functionalities of a tablet and a smartphone.
Equipped with dual cameras, 3G connectivity, anti-fingerprint coating, super-portable design, and an array of other exciting specs, the Acer Iconia Tab 7 is bound to spark interest among customers who wish to own a tablet with the capabilities of a phone. Further, the vibrant 7-inch screen enables users to indulge in an immersive media experience consisting of web browsing, gaming, videos, social networking, and more. Flaunting an anodized silver-colored body, the Acer Iconia Tab 7 is sleek and slender, at 8.9mm thick and weight of 298 gms. The comfortable design offers maximum portability, enabling users to heft the device with one hand. The brushed aluminium finish appears classy, but the look of the rear-end camera protruding from the exterior seems slightly disturbing.
Sporting a 7-inch display, with 800 x 1280 pixels resolution and 216 ppi of pixel density, this slate runs on Android 4.4 KitKat OS. Powered by a 1.3 GHz Quad core MediaTek MT8382 processor, and backed by 1 GB of RAM, the tablet offers reasonable brightness and viewing angles to its users. However, the first impressions of the device reveal that, the display isn’t the sharpest in town. Other Acer Iconia Tab 7 features include Quick Mode, Acer Cloud, and a host of standard sensors.
The device houses an internal storage of 8 GB/16 GB, with a further scope of expansion up to 32 GB by using a Micro SD card.
With a 5 MP camera placed at the rear end, the Acer Iconia Tab 7 also holds a front-facing VGA camera for clicking selfies and connecting through video chats.
Connectivity options provided by the gadget include 3G, GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and USB.
Rumored to offer a battery life of six hours, the precise specifications of the battery are still unknown.
