Drop Everything and Read This: P.S I Love You is Going To Have A Sequel

Wake up already, we have a good news for you all. The second instalment of P.S I Love You is in the cards! It has been 15 years since the release of the first book and author Cecilia Ahern announces a sequel to the International Bestseller.

P.S I love You was a real tear-jerker. How a mournful Holly deals with the untimely loss of her husband with only his letters to boost her morale and adds meaning to her life again, motivates us. Now, the bestselling author Cecelia Ahern has announced on Twitter that she has penned down a sequel to P.S I Love You –titled Postscript. She has Tweeted, “I have BIG NEWS! I’ve written the sequel to PS I LOVE YOU – titled POSTSCRIPT. POSTSCRIPT will be published September 19th in the UK & Ireland. I hope you’ll welcome back Holly… & Gerry…& that reading it will be as emotional for you as it was for me.”

Well, we are waiting with bated breath for the book. When the book was published in the year 2004, Ahern was all of 21. The romantic novel that she has written revolves around the married couple Holly and Gerry who are torn apart followed by a tragic death of Gerry from brain tumour. A grief stricken Holly, struglling to find another reason to live, discovers that her husband has left behind 10 letters for her to open. Each letter comes with a message from the love of her life and is signed off “P.S I Love You”.

Back in the year 2004, the romantic novel swept the world. People sobbed uncontrollably when the boook was made into a film. With the annoncement of Postscript’s release the fans of Cecelia Ahern across the world are shuddering with excitement.

The book catapulted Ahern to superstardom and she has written 15 more novels ever since. Until today, her books have sold 25 million copies internationally, are published over 40 countries, in 30 languages. The reel adaptation of the film starred by Hilary Swank and Gerard Butler in 2007 added to the film’s popularity.
