Well, I’ve been huge fan of tam brahmins. They are by far the most intelligent people I’ve ever come across. They lead a very simple life. The only thing which I hate is most of them I find – too much money minded, in hindi we call them “kanjoos ” . I’m curious to know whether it’s a cultural thing.

In reply to Nikhil. It is not 1000 years back. But for more than 1000 years brahmins had advantage.That made lot of knowledge reside inside community. Today even 10th failed brahmin can earn good money by just mugging some sanskrit sloka. My father gives more than 1000 Rs for one hour pooja, but for 5-6 hard work in sun light labour get not more than 200-300Rs that also after lot of argument. Even their physial look is an advantage and can get more scope in film, other industry. Even there are poor brhamin, they get good support from community since major brhamins are in good condition and our belief system(like doing pooja etc) make sure that they get some kind of support. Eg small son of priest also gets small pocket money when he comes with father for pooja. When SC/ST enjoy the benifit of government, Brhamins enjoy the benefit of belief system and custom in the society. If cast system was not there we all mixed racially well. Good dna and not good dna would mixed well. but that got disturbed because of cast system. We went against nature. So nature is punishing all of us. Whatever is happening it has reason.

Absolute bullshit post. I have stayed in every city in south India and it does not get worse than Chennai. My points to prove, I am sure many people will agree with me. Also if you don’t want to introspect (like all tamilians do) then don’t bother replying to my post and wasting my time. I am settled in Chennai now for the past month and it does not get worse than what I had to endure. I came with an open mind that I would not judge people and give them a chance as my tamilian friends in Bangalore were quite vocal saying I should not judge hastily. In one month my opinion about Chennai is down in the dumps. They refuse to speak any language other than Tamil.. Even if they see I am struggling with the little Tamil I know… They will never make the effort to speak another language. There was this bastard milk man who used to silmile every time I spoke Tamil as it was broken.. I heard the bastard speak to anoter of my neighbours in English!!! So much for making friends with them. I thought the it crowd would at least be more mature but they are even more immature than the milkman. They will start speaking among themselves in Tamil even though there is a largely English speaking crowd in the room. These guys are stingy as fuck.. Will not take out a single penny but will gladly take something if offerd d for free. I could go on and on but these points prove all there is to know about Chennai. I am unlucky I took this job but it was only due to. A promotion.. I am looking to GTFO as soon as I am eligible to move on my next promotion. Hell, I spent 1 day in hyd on some personal work and wow what a change. The people are so friendly in Hyderabad. Chennai fucks don’t even smile when I smile at them. That’s telling a lot about their character. Now don’t go lecturing me, instead introspect and see and you will find that what I am saying is absolutely true. FYI this job opening in Chennai was available for 3 months before I became the only guy to apply and get selected. My manager told me that no one is willing to move to chennai because of the people. Its clearly not me alone but several others who think the same way.
