Brazil coach Luiz Felipe Scolari will be gearing for yet another tough time when the host nation goes head-to-head against rivals Mexico in the World Cup Group A encounter on Tuesday. The match comes with both teams having their eyes set on the second round after making winning starts in Group A. With Brazil beating Croatia 3-1 and Mexico edging Cameroon 1-0, the winner will advance to the round of 16 if Cameroon and Croatia draw on Wednesday in Manaus. Here’s what we expect from both the teams:

Brazil:
Strengths – The Brazilian strength lies in their midfield as well as the attack. Luis Felipe Scolari will want his midfielders to surge ahead and support the likes of Neymar and Fred in attack. Also, fullbacks Dani Alves and Marcelo could also provide the cutting edge by going forward in attack.

Weakness – May be the ‘home factor’ could get in the nerves for Brazil. They did look a bit mellowed against Croatia but Mexico could prove to be a tough opposition.

Mexico:
Strengths – With the likes of Giovani dos Santos, Oribe Peralta and Javier Hernandez in the side; Mexico have a powerful attack that could keep the Brazilian defence on its toes. With a morale boosting win over Cameroon, the El Tri go into this match with nothing to lose.

Weakness – Javier Hernandez’s lack of goal threat could be a worry for the Mexican management. The ageing Rafael Marquez might come up short against the pace of Neymar and the rest of the Brazilian attack.
