This is an age old saying that applies to all of us.
But here we are wondering what Bollywood’s first family, The Kapoors, is eating to provide the film industry with one talent after another. Starting from Prithviraj Kapoor till Ranbir Kapoor of today, it looks like a powerhouse of talent.
George Bernard Shaw said, “There is no love sincerer than the love of food.” And who can prove that better than Kapoors with their famed love for good food.
Well, they sure are die-hard foodies. Not one, not two, but all of them!!
Here are some of the favorite foods of the Kapoor Clan.
Prithviraj Kapoor and Raj Kapoor: Yakhni Pulao
Rishi Kapoor: Mom made Yakhni Pulao, Khatti Dal and Fish Fry
Randhir Kapoor: All kind of foods, especially non-veg.
Karishma Kapoor: Fish Curry and Rice
Kareena Kapoor Khan: All cuisines (vegetarian) Special love for Chinese.
Kareena adds that “One should eat everything especially healthy and not junk food. I don’t like the idea of starving. I would eat and burn it out in gym. The amount of intake is what matters.” She starts her day with a fat glass of banana shake, every morning.
Kareena reduced to a size zero, five years back. She doesn’t even want to term it as size zero. “I don’t know where this term of size zero came from, people called it that way (size zero). I became thin for Tashan. And that is because of Rujuta, I followed her instructions,” she said. 32-year-old Kareena is a part of a nutrition documentary DVD film ‘Indian Food Wisdom and the Art of Eating Right’, by famous celebrity nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar. Kareena is a vegetarian and eats home-made food to her heart’s content.
Ranbir Kapoor, the most talked about actor of today, Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor’s son, Katrina Kaif’s apparent current boyfriend and Deepika Padukone’s ex-boyfriend who definitely is the heartthrob of millions, is a hardcore foodie too! With look that kills, a silhouette that speaks of a great diet & workout and of course with a gene that dates back to Raj Kapoor.
He may look like the one who has very healthy food habits, Ranbir Kapoor’s food secrets spells somewhat like butter chicken, paya soup and Biryani. Yup, he is a hardcore Non-vegetarian. He dislikes any form of vegetable, especially tindli and hates the fruit juice that his mom makes for him every morning! He confesses that anytime you open his refrigerator, you will find cream cheese, salami and frozen dimsum all stacked in!

Rishi: Like a black and white movie. Our lives would be colorless!
Rajiv: Non-existent. I eat whatever is kept on the table. We have been taught to respect food. Never keep food waiting on the table!
Coming back to rest of the hot & successful Kapoors, it must not be easy for them to love food on one hand and on the other, stay fit! Look at the elder Kapoors, the likes of Rishi Kapoor, Shashi Kapoor, Randhir Kapoor, Babita Kapoor, once they said goodbye to grease paint and camera, they indulged in some heavy-duty romance with food. Being Punjabis, the food had to be rich, just like their fat bank balance. Oops, did we say fat? No, no, the correct word should be healthy!
