Be it the death of Bhagat Singh or the Indira Gandhi’s ever unsatisfied hunger for power.
We have here the 5 conspiracy theories about Indian politicians that will definitely blow your mind.

1) Gandhi could have stopped the execution of Bhagat Singh.
It has been a matter of great debate for many years. Many people including some leading politicians believe that Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi could have used his power and influenced the British government, thereby saving Bhagat Singh’s life.

2) How exactly did Lal Bahadur Shastri die?
49 years have passed and still no answer has been found. The suspicion increases when government starts giving unexplainable answers to this question. It is said the Russians were behind the death of this great politician from India who was also the prime minister of India back then.

3) Plane crash was not the reason behind Subhash Chandra Bose’s death.
there are a lot of stories about Subhash Chandra Bose’s death. Some say he died in a plane crash, some say he lived in disguise for many years. There are a lot of conspiracy theories about Subhash Chandra Bose’s death.

4) Who killed lalit Narayan Mishra ?
Lalit Narayan Mishra was the Railway minister of India during the Indira Gandhi rule. Once when he was on a tour to Samastipur to inspect a certain project, an explosion cost him his life. Many believe that the CIA was behind his assassination.

5) Homi bhabha’s death
There is a conspiracy theory that the plane crash in which Homi Bhabha died was pre-planned and this time again questions were raised on CIA.

These were the 5 of the most interesting conspiracy theories about Indian politicians.

No one knows the truth behind these 5 instances. Even the government sometimes finds it difficult to answer the questions related to these theories.

When you read a book by Chetan Bhagat, you don’t feel like what is written above. The reason I straight away wrote the most important point is, I don’t want to leave the readers of this honest post waiting to read the important points in the middle of this article.

Youngsters, if they want to read a book, have a lot of choice nowadays. They are exposed to an array of books and authors that might interest them. I certainly wanted to use the word ‘overexposed’ because it is the truth. Nowadays you see youngsters reading books at bus stands, railway stations, coffee shops, in colleges and in schools, but the most important question which arises out of such a thing is, are they feeling whatever they are reading?

There is a big difference between a writer and a great writer. I want the readers of this article to know that difference, so that pretentious writers feel the shame which is being bestowed upon them.

I will let you know a thing which I thought and felt while reading Chetan Bhagat. While I was reading one of his books, I felt that the story was being fed into my head, someone was telling me and I was listening. There was no scope for my thoughts to reply to whatever that was written in the book. There was an explanation to everything that was happening which I felt was very unnecessary.

The characters that are often shown in his stories are just being used by him so that they take the story forward till the climax and the book meets an end. The women characters in his books are nothing much than a portrayal of fake womanhood and reminds me of the sleazy content that was made famous by pulp fiction writers like Ved Prakash Sharma and Surendra Mohan Pathak. Bhagat fans! the women in his books do not fight for sexual freedom, they become the prisoners of sex. The truth is destroyed and the lies are sugar coated. All of these things sum up to the concept of literature blasphemy and the shameful irony is that nowadays this is the formula for a successful book. The writers are not the only ones to be blamed, the readers should also be blamed.

The above paragraph exposes the not so enduring writing style of Chetan Bhagat. Let us now talk about a writer which is almost forgotten by the people, people do not read him but they are not aware that whatever books they are reading(I am talking about the books by coming off age writers) has a little bit of him in them, ‘Saadat Hasan Manto’.
Every sentence ever written by him still strikes the readers with a sword of epiphany. Saadat Hasan Manto wrote the truth and served it hot and cold at the same time. His works reveal his personality, they reveal that Manto was a theist and an atheist at the same time. Sane, insane were not just words for him, they were experiences. One can easily call him the Edgar Allan Poe of the Urdu world

Manto in his books did not answered questions, he asked them and asked them with utmost clarity. The clarity which no writer has achieved ever since. Your thoughts are given the permission to express themselves and you are the one who has to answer the questions. His writings can be understood by kids and the older masses and this proves that he has an universal appeal. The women in his stories gradually become the most important part of the stories. Even if there was no woman involved in the story, Manto tried to make the whole story a woman and succeeded in doing that. A quality which is not found nowadays. Inspired by the works of Maxim Gorky and Guy de Maupassant, Manto was arguably the greatest Urdu writer of his time.

If one wants to be a writer, he/she should be very careful with what he reads because if you want to write good you should read good.

Why everybody wants to be a Bhagat and not a Manto?

Final conclusion is this, Let your influences be your guide and choose wisely!

Thank you!

Inclusion of no Indian player in the team has become a subject of debate. Despite Mohammed Shami’s amazing performance in the tournament, he was not included in the team.

The same goes with Umesh Yadav and Sikhar Dhawan.

However, West Indian Cricket legend Brian Lara, in his World Cup XI, included 3 Indian players.

Let us take a look at the ICC World Cup XI.

10. Trent Boult (New Zealand)

11. Morne Morkel (South Africa)

Brendan Taylor (Zimbabwe) (12th man)

Now let us take a look at Brian Lara’s World Cup XI

The absence of Indian players from the ICC World Cup XI has become a matter of great concern all over the nation but getting in Brian Lara’s World Cup XI is not easy at all!
So what do you think? Is ICC’s team better or the inclusion of 3 Indian players makes Lara’s team a special one?

What matters is managing to wake up in the morning, working for the whole day and sleeping like an infant seeming to show that he cares about nothing in this world. After all, ignorance is bliss and life’s real fun is being ignorant and indifferent to everything happening around!

Whenever we witness a bad incident in front of us, what is the need to go and help the injured or even report the matter to the police and call an ambulance? We are better off without getting involved in the police and hospital issues!

It also seems easier and convenient to blame the government for the garbage dumps in our surroundings, the problem of street lights, let alone bigger scams of corruption and violence in the nation. After all, the government rules us so it is the system that is to blame, not us who are just living by their rules. Or is it?

Well, Shivratri is one such occasion where people claim to attain knowledge and salvation by praying to Lord Shiva and fast the entire day. If one day is allocated to attaining enlightenment about the universe, then I wonder why not all the 365 days of a year are good enough for such noble motives? Married women too fast and pray for the long life of their husband and to enjoy marital bliss while some unmarried ladies too willingly keep this fast to get an ideal husband like Shiva.

While ascetics take holy dips and smoke marijuana in the name of Lord Shiva, people generally offer fresh flowers and glasses full of water and milk on Shivling. Drinking ‘bhaang’ is also a common practice on this day especially seen among people in Varanasi, Mathura, Patna and certain other places.

I wonder where do the milk, fruits, water, honey and curd that are offered to the Lingam disappear? Probably they mix with the sewage pipes and underground disposal areas! But is there even a need to think of those poor children who crave for food and sleep on the streets? Guess not. We have enough money to buy milk and fruits to waste but why spend even 10 rupees for a needy child on the street?

Keeping in mind the modern era, I wish Munshi Premchand, popularly known as ‘the emperor of the hindi novels’, would have been alive. He might have written something based on Shivratri’s relevance in the modern context that could have made people understand the real essence behind celebrating and observing this day.

Munshi Premchand

Premchand is the person behind ‘Godan’ who explained the world what could benefit the society, made people understand the significance of having faith in self in ‘Gaban’ and emphasized on the political and social meanings hidden in the novel, ‘Shatranj Ke Khiladi’.

If he could be of so much significance to the society he belonged, think what he could have done in today’s era. If not making people focus on the underlying meanings of tradition, religious rituals and the like, his novels could at least have made people pay some heed to why the beliefs, rituals and ceremonies regarding religious festivals such as Mahashivratri still exist. We would have been in a better position to understand and explain our future generations the value behind such religious ceremonies.

However, things are not so smooth and straight today. We have people who can mould situations and traditions to mean something else!

Just imagine if all these rituals, religious ceremonies and motives of celebrating Mahashivratri become a part of a rap song by none other than respected Yo Yo Honey Singh! Instead of ‘Chaar Bottle Vodka’, he might be seen singing something like ‘Chaar Bottle Bhaang Ka, Shiv Ji Ke Naam Ka’! (*winks*)

Yo Yo Honey Singh

Just hoping against hope that everything turns out well today in temples and other religious institutions of the country and no nuisance is created on the streets or any other place, especially as ‘bhaang’ and marijuana are seen on the rise in several places today.

After all, all is well that ends well! Jai Bholenath!
