How To Keep Yourself Safe This New Year!

It’s just few days to go and the whole world is all set to welcome the New Year 2015.

Everyone have exciting plans to welcome in their own lovely way. New Year celebration in many ways is synonymous to unlimited party, fun, boozing, travelling and much more with your family and friends.

In India also celebrating New Year is like one great festival, especially for the youth. People party in clubs, hotels, and pubs and also go for several night outs.

But, in the recent times, India has been questioned for its safety with the number of rape cases and other unfortunate incidents being brought in the light. It is very important that apart from the police and administration, we also take care of the safety on our own.

Not even in our own county, but even if you are travelling abroad it is very important that we and our loved ones stay safe during the loud celebrations.

Always travel in groups

While travelling to some new place and also in your own town, make sure you do not travel alone but in groups. This advice is important for girls who choose to travel alone. If you have travelled to places like Goa in New Year, there also make sure you are with your bunch of friends or group.

Carry a pepper spray

For girls, it is important that you carry a pepper spray. Also, to a very extent try to drive your own car if you are alone rather than using a taxi or a rickshaw during the late hours. Keeping pepper spray handy can solve a problem on a temporary basis if someone tries to misbehave.

Do not drink and drive

According to the figures, there are many number of accident cases that take place due to drink and drive especially on New Year ’s Eve in India. Therefore, make sure you don’t drink and drive post the celebration. If there is any sober person left in the group, allow him to drive or simple book a cab to reach your destination safely.

Beware of the strangers

During the New Year celebration, you will find many people mingling with each other. Even when you travel to other places, you will find many new people to befriend. But it is said that many a time during New Year celebrations, many strangers con innocent people and try to loot or harm them.

Avoid deserted places

Even when you stick to your group, avoid going to deserted or unknown places where you have never been to. If you are not much of a crowd lover, try to be at a distant yet a known place which is within your vicinity.

Party your heart out and welcome the New Year with a zeal and happiness. All you need to do is enjoy and take care of your loved ones and yourself making the celebration worth remembering!

Wish you very Happy New Year in advance.

Party hard but stay safe!
