Scientists believe that it could be the first baby step in developing advanced software through which Matrix-style learning could be possible in reality. According to the report published in the journal, subjects that received brain stimulation via electrode-embedded head caps noticed a improvement in their piloting abilities and learned the task 33% better than a placebo group.

Surprisingly, scientists claim that the method had its roots in ancient Egyptian period (approximately 4000 years ago) where they used electric fish to stimulate and reduce pain. The researchers have studied the electric signals in the brain of a trained pilot and infused the data there after into novice subjects as they learned to pilot an aeroplane in a realistic flight simulator.
