Scientists are breaking a new ground everyday with their inventions. We are left wide eyed every time they cater to us a new discovery that minimises human efforts and makes our lives easier. We presume that you are not alien to the concept of Gravitational Waves. The LIGO scientists based in the United States have detected Gravitational Waves in space that could help the scientists develop a time machine and travel to the darkest and earliest parts of the Universe. This discovery was a huge achievement for the team of scientists that earned them humongous public attention and acclaims.

However, only a year ahead scientists have devised a revolutionary method to upload knowledge in your brain. We know, those people that are sucker for knowledge are rubbing palms! It sounds like we are talking about a sci-fi movie but scientists can make this possible in real!

Amazingly, it will be as much easier as changing clothes or falling asleep. Researchers from HRL Labaratories, based in California, claimed to have found out a way to optimise learning but in a much smaller scale than the larger-than-life Hollywood movies. The study was published in the Journal Frontiers in Human Neuroscience whose results revealed that knowledge can be fed directly to your brain, just like the sci-Fi classic The Matrix. The group of researchers said that they have successfully developed a simulator which can upload information directly into a person’s brain and teach them new skills in a shorter span of time. The scientists, rightfully, compared it to the ‘life imitating art’.

Amazingly, it will be as much easier as changing clothes or falling asleep. The scientists, rightfully, compared it to the ‘life imitating art’.

Scientists believe that it could be the first baby step in developing advanced software through which Matrix-style learning could be possible in reality. Protagonist Neo, in the Neo-noir Sci-Fi classic was able to learn Kung Fu in seconds after the martial art was ‘directly’ uploaded into his brain.

According to
the report published in the journal, subjects that received brain stimulation
via electrode-embedded head caps noticed a improvement in their piloting
abilities and learned the task 33% better than a placebo group.

Surprisingly, scientists claim that the method had its roots in ancient Egyptian period (approximately 4000 years ago) where they used electric fish to stimulate and reduce pain. The researchers have studied the electric signals in the brain of a trained pilot and infused the data there after into novice subjects as they learned to pilot an aeroplane in a realistic flight simulator.

According to
Dr. Matthew Phillips, “Our system is one of the first of its kind. It’s a brain
stimulation system,”

Scientists
have really done a remarkable job to improve the learning procedure.
