Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam famously known as “People’s President” was a man with magnificent golden heart said adieu forever to us and embarked on his new journey to heaven but he is immortalized as he left behind many remarkable novels, teachings for everyone to cherish and revere him endlessly.  He drew his last breath yesterday while delivering speech at IIM Shillong. He passed away during what he loved doing the most, that’s inspiring and teaching the future of India.

Born in 1931, Kalam was raised in a very small hamlet of Rameshwaram, Tamil Nadu. He hailed from a very poor family but that never stopped him from dreaming high. In order to aid his family, he started doing odd jobs at a very tender age. He completed his studies in physics and aerospace engineering.

He had spent many decades of his life as a scientist and science administrator at DRDO (Defence Research and Development Organisation) and ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation).

He is widely known as “Missile Man of India” of India as his contribution to ballistic missile and launch vehicle was one of the greatest achievements in Indian history. He successfully led India’s Pokhran-II nuclear tests in the year 1998.

He was voted as 11^th President of India in 2002. After his tenure, he was mostly involved in writing, educating and inspiring young guns of our nation. He was bestowed with highest civilian Bharat Ratna award and several other prestigious awards.

He stressed on perseverance and dedication throughout his life. In his novel India 2020, he had advocated ways on how India can emerge as a super power by the year 2020 but unfortunately he couldn’t see his vision in to reality.

He is, was and will always be remembered by all.

A deep void has been created by his absence in our nation which cannot be filled by anyone.
