The 12^th National Youth Parliament at Mumbai University Competition (for Universities) gave a perfect picture of how the Parliaments of our country should ideally work.

It was held in Mumbai University where students were enacting the discussions and procedures of a Lok Sabha.

The Parliaments had always been a part of news for the irresponsible ways of conduct. People throwing chairs, yelling, shouting, etc. had been incidents inside the Parliaments of our country where the entire country raised to skepticism about the capabilities of our leaders.

These students also enacted debates but the only difference was that these debates were actually discussions. Yes there were heated discussions but no one resolved to abusive language or any untoward gesture.

The discussions and debates were varied and gripped the audience till the last moment. These students delivered quite insightful details in the mock session of Lok Sabha.

Everyone kept their point of views in a manner that our politicians should actually take a note of.

The discussions were so strong; both the arguments and the counter arguments simply compelled everyone around there to think about various factors affecting our country.

The topics ranged from manual scavenging to women’s safety.

Of course the legendary way of banging the bench in assertion was also a very interesting striking point.

They had foreign delegates to Speaker and oath taking sessions…marking the normal procedures of Lok Sabha.

At the end of the session, the winners were announced.  Prof.K.K.Dwivedi ,Prof in Law,Chanakya University,Patna was judging the event.

The list of the winners are as follows:

1. Viren Vesuwala (enacting PM)
2. Karishma Jayanthi (enacting Finance Minister)
3. Jyutika Satghar (enacting Minister of Social Justice)
4. Saraswati Bhandare (enacting the leader of opposition)
5. Tehseen Ansari (enacting the member from the opposition)
6. Rosy Khan (enacting member of opposition)
7. Kiran Bisht (enacting member of opposition)
