Creative field – Smokers will need an excuse to smoke, the profession can’t be blamed but there are some professions that need so much brainstorming that smoking becomes the only breather from work.

Only smokers know that they are struck by gush of ideas and become more resourceful after one or two drags at the cigarette. This is no secret that many people who are public figures, have set wrong example to their fans by smoking in the media galore.

Take for instance, Shah Rukh Khan, who has been many a times caught in the camera smoking. Facing a lot of flak, he decided to quit smoking or not smoke publicly but that doesn’t change the fact that he was once addicted to it.

Perhaps smoking calms the agitated or overworked brain so that they can get back to working again, hence they smoke we believe. Creative field is a general term, in this category you can count mucis composers, writers and even intellectuals.

Detectives:

Their brains need to be sharpened always and no sleuth can go without smoking. If you take instances from the literature, all the detectives that we grew up adoring smoke. To give you a few names, Agatha Christie’s Hercule Poirot who smoked Cigar, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes who smoked Cigar again and Satyajit Ray’s Pradosh Mitra aka Feluda who smoked Chaminar cigarette which evokes nostalgia still.

Models:

The primary reason who models smoke, irrespective of their gender, is to trim down their hunger pangs. Smoking can keep the hunger pangs at bay and that way they can maintain their awesome figure if not they are swallowing cotton balls a lot. We have seen Kangana Ranaut drug abusing and smoking indiscriminately in the movie ‘Fashion’ which drops hint at the fact.

In the same manner as the models, those who want to prosper in showbiz, has to maintain a good body. Where the physical appearance is key, diet gets primary importance too. In that bargain, one smokes a lot to shoo the hunger pangs and keep oneself motivated in the odd hours of shooting except it deters the collagen production in the skin.

Investment banking is a profession where you can accumulate bottomless wealth if everything falls in order.

But in the same manner, you have to put indefatigable hard work to achieve that feat, perhaps at the cost of your social or family life. Figures say that most people engaged in investment banking tend to be depressed at one point of time and the main companion during their depression becomes cigarettes invariably.

Creative field – It’s time they knew that they are adding to the air pollution aside from harming their own health. But smoking habit dies hard, phew!
