Particular period with the beginning of Mahalaya, the fortnight the night with the autumnal equinox or Amavasya according to the Hindu rituals the joy begins with the arrival of the spiritual time, Goddess Devi Durga steps to the earth to her parents. Goddess brings in with her the happiness to people who are believed to be the strongest in the universe, defeating the Dus avatar Durga is impossible.

The period prior to Devi Paksha is not holy, as Mahishasur, the devil who pledged to destroy the earth and the entire strength of all god were unable to defeat finally created Goddess Durga, who had the strength of entire lords in the heaven. Finally, the black days of death were over and Mahishasur was killed by Devi Durga the “onset Devi Paksha”.
