Interesting Facts about Galileo In-Universe History

History and science both speak about the dedication and interesting facts about Galileo who has served for the truth and the invention of science. He started his studies in medicine but dropped his studies to become a monk. His aim and interests were different related to the galaxy that made him one of the famous inventors in global history. Some of his inventions are:

The inventor of the refracting telescope

No, he is not the inventor of the telescope, the first one was a concave eyeglass which was released in 1608 by Lippershey. So, you might be thinking about what was Galileo’s contribution to the Galaxy and Universe history.  Galileo was the inventor of the refracting telescope through which enabled us to visualize through more than eight to nine-time magnified than the previous telescope.

It was through his Telescopes that the detailing of the moon was visible that seems to be white from the earth.

Another interesting fact of the mountains that have contributed to the study of galaxy universe history is unbelievable when he was able to calculate the altitude of the mountains in the moon. The refractive telescope was the first to enable us to calculate the elements in the galaxy.

Other interesting facts about Galileo were the person who was working on the theory of Copernicus but was put behind bars for his attempt to authentic the theory. And it was through the telescope that Galileo observed the Venus closely and observed the craters on the planet. His observations with interests to the Galaxy, that the earth revolves around the sun have increased his confidence in the theory of Copernicus.

Milky Way

In modern studies of astronomy we know about the use of radio astronomy, it is with the help of antenna that is used to follow the waves of the radio. It enables us to study the weakest waves to the strongest which is possible through these radio telescopes, waves evolving from the Milky way Galaxy.

But the invention of the galaxy’s Milky way was first observed by Galileo. In his observance, he described the beams of lights as millions of stars that were visible through his telescope. Following his observation it was in 1932 by Karl  Guthe  Jansky, the radio telescope can be used to detect the waves from the Milky Ways for day and night time but optical telescopes can be used for the night time.

Pendulum Clock

Who does not know about the Pendulum clock? As the days have changed the structure and appearance of the clocks have modernized. So, the initiative of the best accurate timekeeping was by Galileo himself. He did not only have a floating mind in the galaxy as mentioned in universal history he was also given the idea and design of the pendulum clock. But did not complete his clock structure, later in 1956 the clock by constructed and developed by Christiaan Huygens.

The final interesting fact about Galileo is that his right-hand middle finger was cut off that is still present as a display in the Museum of History of Science in Florence.
