Doctors have the noblest job in the world to heal and save people.
Our trust in them is so much that we cannot even believe that they can commit any crime, leave alone murders.
And many give them the status of God as they bring people out straight from the jaws of death.
But the society always got a big shock when they used to come across about the news of some doctors who violated the public trust by committing bestial crimes.
They made their clinics as castle of horrors, their prescription denoted death and medicines were poison. They did these all by wearing a mask of innocence.
But who knew that beneath that mask there was a demon.
These evil doctors took advantage of their power position and some of them named killings as medical curiosities or wrong treatments.

1. Harold Frederick Shipman
Harold was a British Doctor and one of the most horrific serial killers in recorded history. He was labeled as ‘Dr. Death’ as he killed over 250 patients.
2. Devendra Sharma
Devendra Sharma was a very famous Ayurvedic doctor. He stole cars and killed car drivers in and around areas of Uttar Pradesh, Gurgaon and Rajasthan. Police came to know about his evil side when he confessed about the same. According to reports, he killed about 30 to 40 people. He was convicted and sentenced to death.
3. Holmes : America’s First Serial Killer
He is believed to be one of the first serial killers in America. In 1800s, this doctor took 200 lives. He was known as ‘The Torture Doctor’. This revelation had stunned the whole of America.
4. Michael Swango
He killed over thirty patients and many co workers in Africa. He was arrested and later released for his good behavior. Soon after his bail he went on to kill more people again. Finally he was arrested and sentenced to life imprisonment without parole.
5. Jayant Patel
Jayant Patel is linked to at least eighty seven deaths. He was tried but he was never convicted for his crimes. He was charged and convicted for fraud instead.
These doctors may have maligned the profession by their horrific acts but we should still have faith in humanity as there are many great doctors as our savior.
