9 Big Budget Hollywood Movies Of 2015 Which Bombed Badly At Box Office

Jurassic Park, Furious 7 and Avengers: Age of Ultron, Inside out and Minions unambiguously had a great script and got rave reviews. These movies also garnered good moolah at box office. And recently movie PAN proved to be another disaster.

But there were slew of big budget Hollywood movies Of 2015 which bombed at box office. Some had great script but were not executed suitably and some were down right disasters.

Here’s a brief glance at some expensive movies that didn’t measure up at the box office this year.

1. Jupiter ascending

The trailer of Wachowskis Jupiter ascending seemed promising but didn’t do well at all. It was panned by both viewers and critics. It was made under the budget of $175 million but just earned around $ 50 million only.

2. Tomorrow land

This big budget fantasy movie is Disney’s one of biggest flops ever. George Clooney, who came back to silver screen after year’ hiatus, couldn’t save Tomorrowland. It got terrible reviews and audience stayed away from this movie.

3. Fantastic four reboot

FOX took many risks with this movie. And many also pointed out how this story is now stale and people want a breath of fresh air. It lost its first weekend to MI.

4. PAN

Many already expected this movie to be a flop. In a matter of hours people predicted that things are not good for PAN. The movie starred Hugh Jackman and had a budget of whopping $150 million and earned just $15.5 million.

5. Pixels

The film was budgeted at $88 million and made just As soon as the movie opened in theatres; it suffered bad reviews so audience stayed away. The popular star cast wasn’t enough to save this poorly reviewed movie.

6. Man from U.N.C.L.E

The makers thought that MAN from uncle tasted success earlier in the forms of TV Series, novels and feature films but their this adaptation proved dud.

7. Seventh Son

The movie had a hefty price tag of $95 million but it made just 17 million domestically. These movies did fairly well overseas and it able to pull in $93 million but still this was a catastrophic loss for the makers.

8. Black Hat

This movie too got flak from critics and lukewarm response. The movie had a whopping budget of 70 million dollars and earned just 70 million dollars.

9. Mortdecai

Mortdecai starred Johnny Depp was a misfire from ace director David Koepp. The movie had massive budget of $60 million but unfortunately just collected $7 million.
