1. We often have seen that influential people on twitter(Journos in most cases) have been planting/spinning stories to suit their own or their master’s requirements.

2. Common people, who do not have presence in studios, don’t have other options but to react via social media to those manipulations.

3. We have seen in the recent “hot” news/stories like church/mosque attacks and minorities in danger. Facts emerged on social media and main stream media went into hiding. Most recently the muslim tenant story.

While the article does have some merit, now, lets take a look on the other side of the same story-

1. The same “senior” journalist Nikhil Wagle, in the same series of tweet and today itself, not only abused a woman on twitter but also threatened her saying “you dont know my powers”. When people started quoting/RTing his tweets, the so called senior journalist deleted the tweet.

2. The same senior journalist termed BJP voters as “illiterate” & “informed” on twitter itself.

3. These so called journos, now popularly known as presstitutes, have openly been taking sides during general elections.

4. Nikhil Wagle twitted before 2014 general election that ” I will walk naked If Narendra Modi becomes Prime Minister” mostly pro-establishment.

5. Now to Mr.Purie, who channel is popularly known as Krantikar, the less said the better.

When these kind of biases are communicated, the people sitting on the other side of the fence have no choice but to retort it on the same platforms i.e. social media. Yes names calling or abuse is wrong but the holier-than-thou-moral-preachers on television must do some soul searching. Madission Square Garden fame ruffian Rajdeep Sardesai openly abused people. Sagarika Ghose’s morning will start from filth.

Gone are the days when you come in studio with a powdered face and plant stories. Today social media is blazed with facts and “truth” and when these journos confronted with fact, they will come with a term. Till recently, anyone disagreed with UPA govt, were termed as RSS agent.

Therefore, when you pick up a stick, you loose the right to be treated otherwise.
